Persistently setting Play > Map > Filters > Found status = All

Hi

I really do not like the "Found status = Not found by me" filter on the map on website. Every time I use the map again, I have to change the setting to "All" even though I'm still logged in. (I can't believe I'm the only person who finds this irritating.)

Is there a way to persistently change this filter to "All" so it stays that way whenever I'm logged in? If not, could GCHQ please add an option for this?

Thanks

It might not serve your purpose exactly, but the Browse Map doesn't enforce the "not found by me" filter, I find the Browse map vastly superior to the Search map.

For me, they're both useful in different ways, but thanks.

Yes, it's annoying for me too, and I complained about it right when the new map was introduced.

As a workaround, you can use the GClh (https://github.com/2Abendsegler/GClh#readme) which is a really useful and powerful extension. It runs in Tampermonkey (is like Greasemonkey)

One of its many features is the possibility to show found (and own) caches by default. It's sometimes a bit buggy, and you have to zoom a bit out and in, so that the changes by GClh made are applied.

You can enable/disable all feature in a config menu, which you can reach over the dashboard, once you install Tampermonkey and the GClh

All the settings of the filters do not remain!
Every time you go to the map, the filters are turned off.

There is no persistency of this function when you click on "Save" and you "Sign out" and you come back.
Worthless!!!!

Why does HQ not repair this function????
Please do!

Repair this item?

Not everyone considers this a bug, so it's not a 'repair'. Retaining search criteria would simply be a preference.

How would you set the preference? Would it be every time you run a search? If so, then when you run one off-std search, your saves search is gone. Would you want an explicit 'SAVE' button? Next would come 'saving multiple searches' and a whole 'Saved Search Mgmt' utility.

In any event, not a minor thing. They'd have to do it through cookies saved on your PC, to which you'd have to agree or if you want to have the search criteria persist WHEREVER you log in, then they'd have to be kept in user profile settings back on the servers in Seattle.

Seems like such a simple request.

Fortunately, they keep these map settings in the query string so I saved a couple of bookmarks in my browser with "Not found by me" and "Caches I don't own" settings on and different locations and launch the map from there. But I believe as well there should be a possibility to make filter settings persistent.

Great answer, thank you. A very helpful solution!
