Hey there everyone, I'm trying to tile the sides of one of my geocaching pages, but the picture wont do it. I only see the whole picture cut off in the middle by the geocaching blurb. How can I tile to picture to be on the left side, and on the right side? Is there some kind of code I have to put before the picture html code? Thanks. If you would like to see an example of my problem, look up Piranha's Railroad Relics in Portsmouth NH. Thanks

You've set the image to be the cache page background. As such, it's working the way it should, and always has worked.

If you want the image to appear inside the cache description:

Help Center → Hiding a Geocache → Geocache Ownership: A Long-Term Relationship

4.4. Add images to your cache page

Did not want to put it in the cache description, just wanted to have the whole picture show to the sides of the cache description. Wasn't sure if the picture needed to be smaller. Thanks for your response.

Yes, you will need to make the picture a lot smaller. You can experiment a bit with size, keep editing until you get it right. See our cache background https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC6KB4J_scoria-isnt-flat-central-plateau?guid=39ffdd0a-d04f-4c76-a859-7ce989c49e9a Is this how you want the background to look? Hope this helps. Edited by Punga and Paua

I just resized the caboose image, cropped it a little to remove the minivan in the background, and posted the smaller version to your cache page.

To make it the background image, edit your cache and paste the image location into the block for background image. It should tile nicely.

Keep in mind, the image's appearance will change if the person viewing the page changes the size of the window in which they're viewing the cache page. I've tried the same thing on my own cache page and found that it's pretty darn tricky to get something that works exactly as I'd like it too. <_< Good luck!

On phones and tablets, cache pages fill the page in the browsers, showing no background image. Geocaching Apps tend to show a cache page in a special App-formatted way without backgrounds. And with a handheld GPSr, you get text and whatever photos you load separately.
