+keithnipper49 Posted April 25, 2015 Posted April 25, 2015 I run windows 8.1 on my laptop and for moths have been able to load cache details via the desktop setting using chrome, tonight it tells me that chrome no longer supports the garmin system, how can I now download to my etrex 20? I HAVE TRIED RELOADING THE GARMIN SYSTEM, BUT THAT DOES NOT MAKE ANY DIFFERENCE. HELP URGENTTLY NEEDED kEITHNIPPER49. Quote
+Gitchee-Gummee Posted April 25, 2015 Posted April 25, 2015 (edited) Google Chrome no longer allows use of plug-ins, like Communicator, citing "security issues" as the reason. You have little choice but to change out your browser -or- Download pocket query data and load the unit without going through the browser. An option that Premium Members can do. +Bear and Ragged Posted April 26, 2015 Posted April 26, 2015 Long winded option is: Download "GPX file" to your desktop (Easier if you make a folder) Then drag n drop/copy and paste the files into the Garmin/GPX folder on the GPS. Quote

+simplysup Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 Google Chrome no longer allows use of plug-ins, like Communicator, citing "security issues" as the reason. I'm a bit late to this party, but if Garmin uses an NPAPI plug-in you can tell Chrome to continue to allow these plug-ins should you wish to do so. 1. Open Chrome and browse to chrome://flags/#enable-npapi 2. Click the Enable NPAPI setting. Quote
