worstcaster
Has anyone else looked back at the caches you've found to discover they were archived. Seems like a good time to add a cache and bring other cachers to a place you enjoyed before. Quote Link to comment
BBWolf+3Pigs
Has anyone else looked back at the caches you've found to discover they were archived. Seems like a good time to add a cache and bring other cachers to a place you enjoyed before. I look all the time. However, before you run out and place a new cache, make sure you know why it was archived. If it was due to permissions issue, constantly being muggled, etc, you may not want to replace it, even if it was a great location. Quote Link to comment
cerberus1
- And some in our area were Grandfathered, with future hides restricted or forbidden in the locale they were in. Few would access many today anyway, as they were over a half mile walk. Quote Link to comment
Legochugglers
Both the first cache we ever found and the first cache we favourited were subsequently archived some time later. In both cases we have placed new caches at these sites and are keeping our fingers crossed that they don't get muggled (no problems so far and one has been out a year now). Quote Link to comment
OZ2CPU
we love to look at arc lists, and see if we can find those old and arc caches that is sometimes possible, but that is like so many other things, a little side game :-) Quote Link to comment
MartyBartfast
Yes, my cache A Modern Megalith is the third cache in that spot by 3 different owners, I found both of the previous ones and when the last one was archived I thought it was too good a spot to not have a cache so I took my turn. But I wouldn't do it unless I thought there was a very good reason for that spot having a cache. Quote Link to comment
sparklefingers
A cache outside my sisters house got archived after 4 find (was it 4?) but was actually a really good cache it just went missing before it even sat there for a week. (it may still be there as it was pushed right into a fir tree type tree) CO's just stated it wasn't meant to be. I always think i'm going to go there and have a look and then i spend time with my sister instead. Quote Link to comment
Isonzo Karst
yep, I own one such cache. Old Cracker Cabin http://coord.info/GCREFY The original was archived somewhat inexplicably. And the spot is too interesting to not have a cache on it. I also put out a cache to bring people to the best of the locations that had been part of 13 mile multi when it was archived. However, that hide was nuisance to own, and not found much. I archived it. There are now other caches in the area, so all's well. Quote Link to comment
