+eusty Posted March 30, 2012 Posted March 30, 2012 One of my caches is disabled at the moment and has been for a month or so, but it's still being logged. So would you delete the logs or leave them? I'm tempted to leave them as I don't want to be mean! Quote
+Simply Paul Posted March 30, 2012 Posted March 30, 2012 If it's there to be found... I suppose the smarter question is, why is it disabled? If it's a question of nesting birds or the like, and that's been made clear on the cache page, I probably would delete logs. If it's because the box is broken and contents damp, probably not. Quote
+MBFace Posted March 30, 2012 Posted March 30, 2012 If it's the one requiring permission for its new location in the Nature Reserve I'd have removed the box (and said so on the cache page) until it was granted then this question wouldn't have arisen. Quote
+Lydford Locators Posted March 31, 2012 Posted March 31, 2012 I've found a cache in the past that was disabled at the time but hadn't been when I ran my PQ - I think I would have been disappointed if my inocent log had been deleted by the owner. Quote
roger-rabbit Posted March 31, 2012 Posted March 31, 2012 (edited) Red Duster, told you on the 13th Jan that it was in a nature reserve, yet all you have done is moan that people are finding it. If I was Red Duster, I would archive it. And no you can’t delete their logs. It is your fault. Edited March 31, 2012 by roger-rabbit Quote

+redsox_mark Posted March 31, 2012 Posted March 31, 2012 It would depend, but generally I would not delete the log. I had sort of the opposite with one of my caches lately. It had been muggled, though the container was found and a NM posted. I wasn't sure of the state of the cache so I disabled it until I was able to check on it. During that time someone found it, and posted a note (not a find) saying they found it, but would wait until it was enabled to log it. I would have had no issue with them logging a find initially. But I have now checked on it and enabled the cache; and they changed their log to a find. Quote
BOBBLES WORLD TOUR Posted April 1, 2012 Posted April 1, 2012 (edited) I would have gone and checked my cache. Surely quicker than checking what answers are posted on this thread. Surely. Or lazy. Edited April 1, 2012 by JoLuc Quote
