The_Incredibles_
Found several rubber-boots-required caches today...without the rubber boots. Last one involved wading in a swamp, overgrown with hawthorn trees and killer blackberry vines. Good times, good times... Edited February 25, 2012 by The_Incredibles_ Quote Link to comment
Dancing_Duo
I don't have photo of it but that looks similar to what my shoes looked like last weekend. There was a Geocache event & breakfast a couple hrs from home so we decided to go caching afterwards. It had been raining along the drive but had stopped & was overcast. Of course with it being a "new cache" area for us we decided to spend the day caching. Needless to say it ended up pouring rain. Ended up soaked & muddy but was loads of fun Quote Link to comment
Chokecherry
Somewhere my friend has a picture from where I fell into the swamp last year in an attempt at a night cache in early spring. All it took was one bad step to end up up to my waist in swamp. Continued to hunt for the cache for 3 hours after I fell in. Quote Link to comment
ShaunEM
I tend to get my clothes covered in burrs the size of cocktail shrimps! Quote Link to comment
Sky King 36
My best days of caching I usually go home with water still in my hiking boots, mud on my jeans, a few dead batteries in my pocket, a few scrapes and bruises, and at least one clothing article ruined! Here's a pic of a cacher after finding one of my terrain 5 caches where you had to crawl into a muddy crevice so small you had to lay on your belly in mud and wriggle all the way in, and wriggle backwards all the way out... not for the claustrophobic. To make life interesting, every one of my maintenance visits to the cache was alone, at night. Edited February 25, 2012 by Sky King 36 Quote Link to comment

GeoStar Husband
Generally speaking, blood, burrs, torn clothing, dead batteries and the look of sheer exhaustion are the signs that I had a good day caching. This is a picture of me, covered with burrs, at the end of a long day of caching which culminated in a night cache. Clothing wet, dirty and covered in burrs! Quote Link to comment
Chokecherry
Had to have help pulling burrs out of my hair at one point because it looked like your shirt up there. Quote Link to comment
t4e
that was just nasty, you had to keep moving otherwise you would sink in the mud lol Quote Link to comment
klipsch49er
It was a 1.5 1.5 hide at a 3ft high road cut, yes I PMd the CO that the terrain was wrong. The cache was attached to a tree where barbed wire went behind. Standing next to the tree my footing slipped and the rusty barbed wire caught me in my stomach. It was a good day to bleed, and cache! +NYPaddleCacher
Here's a photo from one of my favorite days geocaching. We spent several hours on a single puzzle multi-cache. A group of cachers with smiling faces, probably the best sign of a good day of caching one can find. Quote Link to comment

Mudfrog
Caching with good Friends always makes for a good day. At the same time, finding a cool cache and/or one located in a scenic area make for a good day as well. We had stopped by to scope this cache out but immediately saw that it wasn't gonna get got that day. Ended up receiving a nice birthday present (the perfect tool for this cache) the next month so went back to try again. The tide was about halfway out so i had to trudge out in ankle to almost knee deep mud. Then had to make the climb up to grab the container. It's hanging there just above my head.
