Cute&Cuddly Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 We're traveling to Ottawa this spring and I have a travel bug to drop off there. I figure it's a city that sees lots of tourists. What cache would you recommend for the bug to pick up a host that could take it as far as possible? Is there a cache there that is frequented by travelers more than others? Thanks for your suggestions. Quote
Arctikkat Posted February 5, 2012 Posted February 5, 2012 I would suggest going through the cache logs in the area and comparing how many visitors they receive. Start with something that a tourist would be most likely to visit, such as Parliment Hill. Quote
hidnseek Posted February 5, 2012 Posted February 5, 2012 Caches near the airport tend to be of larger sizes for TB's. Ones downtown around Parliment are smaller to avoid muggles removing them. You could do a search of larger sizes caches in areas you plan to go for bug drops. Quote

Barnie's Band of Gold Posted February 6, 2012 Posted February 6, 2012 Try: GC1NGJN CYOW (Ottawa International) TB Motel http://coord.info/GC1NGJN Averaging around 100 visits per year makes this a good choice (along with the proximity to the airport). Quote
Cute&Cuddly Posted February 6, 2012 Author Posted February 6, 2012 Thanks everyone! I appreciate your suggestions. I'll give the airport TB hotel a try. Quote
Landsharkz Posted February 15, 2012 Posted February 15, 2012 Sorry for the late reply... We are also going to be in Ottawa this spring. Last time we were there there was a 'Regular' size cache in the parking area below the Royal Canadian Mint that fit TB's. Is it gone? There are monthly events in Ottawa and if you can time your visit, you could do a 'hand off' at the event to save you trying to find a proper size cache for the TB. Time it when we are there and we'll bring it back to BC! Quote
