+AmphibianTrackers
I keep reading in cache descriptions that the cache is either hidden Florida style or Georgia style but I haven't seen any clues as to what they are referring to. Could someone please enlighten me? Quote Link to comment
+Isonzo Karst
Florida style used to mean, in the palmettos, or on the ground covered with palm or palmetto fronds. In the last several years, the urban cachers have used it to mean a micro in the bootjack of a palm tree. Georgia style, as used in Florida, means under pine straw. Quote Link to comment

What is a bootjack? The trunk of the tree? Quote Link to comment
+briansnat
These terms are often made up by the people who use them and mean something only to that person. Quote Link to comment
+TomToad
The bootjack is where the frond meets the trunk, forming a nice little pocket conveniently the right size for a film can. Quote Link to comment

Well, we have found that to be true. I thought I was finally going to understand the caches by understanding FL/GA style but they don't ring true for each of the hiders. Quote Link to comment
