+Chief301
So I'm driving home from work today listening to All Things Considered on NPR when what do I hear? Geocaching story on NPR A story about Geocaching...what a surprise! Check it out! Quote Link to comment
+Gitchee-Gummee
Wonder what Juan Williams has to say about that.... But, I do still listen to NPR once in a while. Not a bad story, at all. Quote Link to comment
+Warturtle
I heard that too driving back from a camping trip! They did a very good job at making it not sound like "go to the woods to get free stuff" like some other news channels seem to do. Quote Link to comment
+BlueDeuce
Huh, the last time I heard an NPR story about geocaching was May 14, 2003. (Note the join date) Quote Link to comment
Mr.Yuck
Huh, the last time I heard an NPR story about geocaching was May 14, 2003. (Note the join date) So what was the leftist agenda behind the Geocaching story on May 14, 2003? There had to be one, right? Quote Link to comment

Hmm, I didn't see one in the link posted, and as a vocal conservative, I'm attuned to spotting such things. Quote Link to comment
+Dgwphotos
The commentator about people that use GPS to cache would be in trouble if the satellites were down doesn't apparently know anything about GPS. Does he realize that the US military depends on GPS for many different things, and would never let the system completely fail? Edited July 5, 2011 by Dgwphotos Quote Link to comment

+d+n.s
Sweet! I missed this. That's kinda' cool. I like All Things Considered. Most of their news is "Who, What, When, Where, How and Why" with a sprinkling of interviews and puff peices like this. It's the closest thing I've been able to find on my radio dial to pure information. I hate editorials and news "personalities" of any stripe. Not sure why people are so eager to ppolitisize this thread and stink it up... The story was cool the source is fairly innocuous. +GeoReapers
A local NPR affiliate, OPB, did a bit on geocachinglast year that was actually pretty good and pretty comprehensive. And I love ATC as well, great program. I used to drive for a living and I got Clear Channel burnout, I went to talk radio and really haven't looked back. Quote Link to comment
