Mr.Yuck
I'm amused by it, but it could just be me. GC2QQYQ That was clever, and pretty funny. Good work. Poetry is cute. Just don't change your username to "Cap'n Cachin Strattons", and start talking like a pirate in your logs. That one's a bit overdone. There's two of them within 100 miles of me, and I've seen others. +CachinStrattons
So... another lamp post cache i guess. Almost. This was a little more clever though. I actually drove over the cache at first. None-the-less, as the lame poem suggested, it wasn't exactly an expidition. Is the sarcasm necessary? Just curious... Quote Link to comment

Only problem is, I'll likely be driving past that very spot in a couple of weeks and there's a good chance I'll look for that cache. My log is going to look pretty lame in comparison. --Larry Quote Link to comment

Well, anyone logged in with an account who looked at the cache page would have to scroll past the map, and I did notice it was a parking lot cache, although I'm sure not everyone would. The thought of making a snide remark never crossed my mind though, and it is unusual for someone 18 days into their geocaching career to make one. Quote Link to comment

It's not about where the cache WAS... just trying to spice things up a bit. I remember reading in here a while back about people would would deliberately and obviously embellish a story for the log. Yeah... map clearly shows a parking lot - I, too was expecting an LPC. Figured I'd set an example... maybe everyone else will feel inclined to do something different. As somebody mentioned above... "Found - TFTC!" gets old. Quote Link to comment

+wimseyguy
Aww, don't give him too much credit. It's all generated by a 3rd party software product that a lot of us use-GSAK. Some of us use more features than others. Now if he finds some poetry generating software to match your log with, then you can be really impressed. Quote Link to comment

Guilty as charged ( on using GSAK to generate most of my profile). And I haven't tried writing poetry since my long-haired teen-age years. Hey, look, I just did my 1,000th forum post. Do I get a prize (or should I get a life )? --Larry Quote Link to comment

I just know I spent 15 minutes looking through the generated stats. Great piece of software, from what I understand. Quote Link to comment

+zoltig
No poetry generator here. January 30 by zoltig (983 found) Once upon a midnight dreary, while I pondered, weak and weary, Over many a quaint and curious volume of forgotten caching lore, While I nodded, nearly napping, suddenly there came a tapping, As of someone gently rapping, rapping at my chamber door. " 'Tis some visitor," I muttered, "tapping at my chamber door; Only Chris, and nothing more." TLX and I went outing, out upon the morn To find some caches in yon faint light Then to an event for beer and wingz and maybe then, somemore. The cache, profound, was newly found As it had been placed before. N'er opened nor spied By someone else's eyes, 'cept for those that placed it on the forest floor Twas open at last, a bountiful cache with swag and gifts galore There were travelbugs a plenty, a coin to move on steady a log to sign... then more. We closed the top, re hid the stash and cleverly moved on. An event to attend free time, comprehend. I logged the cache and trackables. and nothing more. Thanks for the cache and apologies to Poe EAP probably did a double flip in his grave after that. Quote Link to comment
