aintnorock
What are the smallest and largest caches you've found? My smallest was a piece of 1/2" copper tubing, about 1" long. Held a log, that's it. Was in a hollowed out hole in a concrete post - only thing showing was an eye hook on the cap of the tubing. Largest was a piece of 4" PVC, about 10 feet long, very well hidden but almost in plain sight (I'll let you know where if you PM me). Quote Link to comment
rawkhopper
Smallest I found was one of these Nanos Largest I found was stage one of a multi that was about 2ft cubed (each dimension was 2ft not 2 cubic ft) and second stage was 2 ammo cans. +rjb43nh
I could almost describe both ends of the size range with one cache I once found. It was a 55-gal. drum filled with unmarked black film containers, one of which had the log sheet. That took a while. Quote Link to comment
RIclimber
I once found a cache that would have fit IN a nano! It was the first stage of a multi, it only held the last three numbers of the west coordinate to the next stage. Someone (I think the owner) placed it in a small ziplock bag so it wouldn't get lost... Quote Link to comment
StarBrand
Smallest - blinkie nano. Largest - 55 gallon drum. Quote Link to comment
GeoGeeBee
Smallest: your standard magnetic nano, about the size of a pencil eraser. I've found a bunch of them, but this was my first: http://coord.info/GC18MVN The largest I ever found is http://coord.info/GC1D, which is also the oldest cache in Georgia. It's a 10 gallon bucket, hidden in a way that could not be approved under the current guidelines. Quote Link to comment
niraD
I've found a few nano-caches smaller than a blinker. Of those, the smallest commercially available container was a small pet ID tube, just big enough for a slip of paper with your contact info (or a tiny log sheet): The largest cache I've found was a plastic footlocker. Unfortunately, it wasn't weatherproof, and the dampness and mildew had ruined most of the trade items. Quote Link to comment
GeoBroke
Smallest was at the end of this multi GC133C2 Largest was this GC1Q6CW Quote Link to comment
Lacomo
Not one I've found but one that I own. It is currantly rated #2 favorite in Missouri and only 4 points behind #1. It is Jolly Green Giant GC1MDCE. Quote Link to comment
Mr.Yuck
Smallest - Blinkie Nano Largest - An old chest. I'd say about 1 1/2 times the size of your average footlocker like you could buy at Wally World. So I'll say a big footlocker. Quote Link to comment
hzoi
Smallest, nano. Biggest, a shed with a false floor with a ladder down into a 10' tunnel, which led to an 8' by 8' (or so) room. Lot of room for trade items in that one. Quote Link to comment
