briansnat
I'm putting together a bookmark list of caches placed near historic sites in New Jersey I know this is nowhere near complete so if you can think of other caches placed near NJ historic sites, let me know. Thanks! Edited January 12, 2011 by briansnat Quote Link to comment
nikcap
Thanks for the list. I'll comb through some Central Jersey Caches and see what of interested can be added there, Quote Link to comment
MuckSavage
Search Caches placed by "CCHistorics" a pair of Girl Scouts placed a bunch of caches & did a great job documenting the history of each one. All of the caches may not be at a historic site, but every cache description tells the history of it's location, even if it's as vague as a Municipality. Quote Link to comment
Coldgears
http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?guid=c4d71aa1-8f77-4c9d-a21e-e27e3b3e37c3 It's the history of the oldest drug store in new jersey made in the 1700's. It was hidden in burlington, can't get any closer to Pennsylvania then that, compared to some of these NJ caches that make me go line 20 - 40 miles from my house. Quote Link to comment

Packanack
Sorry, was working off an I Pad and in case some people didn't know there are things you can't do on an I pad, like save links. And on top of it I was really upset by the proposal to fine un licensed bicycles 100 dollars. Yup. http://www.geocaching.com/bookmarks/view.aspx?guid=9a7ae3df-65fc-4b93-80f1-866cf1a8f003 I would recommend that those persons with an upside down hide to find ratio might consider hiding at the areas of archived caches, thus providing a service to the game and avoid the geo perjorative term of Lump. As used in context. " That cacher is a real Lump" There were some good spots on that list, especially the one at Ft Lee, what a great cache location that one was. Hey, how about one of the oldest caches in N.J., Let there be light by King Groovy Even though I DNF'd da' sucker. There's also a nearby virtual, but that doesn't give any historical information on purpose, with the intent on surprising you, I suppose. Quote Link to comment
briansnat
Thanks, keep them coming. Quote Link to comment
Michaelcycle
A question in another thread reminded me that I had meant to make an addition to this list some time ago. There is a two-fer quite nearby placed by the dynamic duo (JoenSue) that gets you the Clement Oak cache GC16AGC and Blanchard's Descent GC16E5D marking the landing place of the first manned aerial flight in the United States in 1793 Quote Link to comment
Harry Dolphin
I should like to suggest GC1MGZH Hamilton Rock Quote Link to comment
