MuggleBum
okay I could not find an off-topic topic - sorry and I tried the Waymark forums link (down below) apparently my username/ log in here is not valid there?? and they have to approve new accounts??? anyways, really what I need is a few guinea pigs that do not have a Waymark account I want them to do a search and see what they come up with I was using Waymarking as an untraditional clue for a starting point (not for a cache) when I search, I can access the info every time but I have had two people tell me that an account is required to get the waymark info using the waymark code... if someone(s) could try this and tell me what you get, I would very much appreciate it... Waymark Code : WM3TTZ Go directly to the virtual site, home page, use first tab option to search, enter the code only. TIA! Quote Link to comment

But it said "Not logged in" at the top of the page. I've never actually been to the Waymarking home page before. Quote Link to comment
+Lil Devil
But it said "Not logged in" at the top of the page. I've never actually been to the Waymarking home page before. Did you try clicking the "log in" link directly next to the "not logged in" message. Your Groundspeak account is good on all of Groundspeak's websites, geocaching, Waymarking, Wherigo, etc. Quote Link to comment

I have a rather active account there, but when I'm logged out and search from the Waymark Search tab, I get the Duluth Church page. If I search from Google, I get nothing but this forum thread. There should not be a problem with anyone accessing the waymarks without an account. That's part of the point of the site. Quote Link to comment
MuggleBum
Thank you, thank you!! That is where I want a person to land, but had received feedback (from 3 diff. people) saying a log in was required. I have never logged in to the site either. But today, when I tried - USING my username and login from here, it would not allow me. I received a message staying the username/log in did not exist or had not yet been validated... Oddly enough - I tried again just now, and it did allow me to log in... Okay - but what is most important is knowing if someone without an account can still see the info. And apparently, they can. THANK YOU! Quote Link to comment

+Max and 99
One of the beauties of the Waymarking site is that you use the exact same username and password as the geocaching site. SO easy! I often switch back between the two, since you can access Waymarking from any geocache page, and access geocaching from any waymark page. Brilliant! Quote Link to comment
MuggleBum
okay - so not so bright am I... is there a way for me to edit my original post here? I want to alter the waymark code slightly (add a * on each end...) so if someone plugs just the code into Google, they don't land on this page and get the link to the answer... (vs. working through the puzzle to determine that it's a waymark code...) Quote Link to comment
