+Delta68
I realise I am wasting my time even typing this but hey-ho... If I add a cache to the ignore list it is because I don't want it to appear in PQs, yet by default it will still appear in PQs If I look at someone's profile and click to view what caches they have set, ignored caches are not visible This has been mentioned before and it's just PLAIN DAFT! I look at the 'Caches Owned' page because I want to see what caches are owned! Why on earth are they hidden on that page? Thanks Mark Link to comment
+pppingme
They didn't used to be when you looked at a users finds and hides and that's the way most users seem to prefer it. A recent update took the ignore list way too far. Even on pq's if you have an ignored cache, and don't have the exclude ignored caches box checked, it still doesn't show up on previews. Severely broken. Link to comment
+Team Taran
Before they made the change there were multiple posts about caches on the ignore list showing up on various searches. You may only want them not to be included in pocket queries. Others don't want to see them on maps of the nearest caches and some people don't want to see them at all. You can please some of the people some of the time. This time they chose not to please you but next time they might implement a feature that pleases you and annoys others. No site is going to please everyone and no one has a right to demand that it works exactly the way you want. If you choose to ignore a cache, expect that you will have to work to see it. +Delta68
I know what you are saying but I fail to see how anyone can be annoyed at finding something they actually go looking for! How many people actually: clicked on someone's user name to see their profile, clicked 'Geocaches' tab, clicked on the 'All Geocache Hides' link, and then got annoyed that the could see caches that they had on their ignore list? And then what percentage of these people went on to complain about it? How many people set up a PQ like Potato Finder suggested and really like the way that the preview differs from the actual results? Mark Link to comment
+pppingme
Before they made the change there were multiple posts about caches on the ignore list showing up on various searches. The only repeated complaints I saw were complaints about them showing up on the google maps. That should have been an easy fix, every where else they showed was easily fixed with a simple "&f=1" After the overkill, I've seen them post once or twice "well it was the only way we could remove them from the google maps" (yeah, right, whatever), but they have generally quit commenting on the issue, which means they just don't care anymore, one or two people in Seattle like it, and that seems to be all that matters, its not about the users, and probably never will be until it starts affecting revenue, and on that point, pq's are the driving factor, not ignore lists. They took a sledge hammer to drive a finishing nail, and now they don't care about the hole in the wall. Link to comment

A recent update took the ignore list way too far. I agree, the ignore list goes way too far now. It used to be that ignored caches didn't show up in a nearest search. That is fine. But now they don't show up in a list of other users' hides or finds? That's just weird. And there's no way to temporarily turn off the ignore list.. So if I want to find a particular cache that I'm ignoring, I have to go searching through my ignore list to find it, because that's the only place it shows up. Link to comment

AZcachemeister
This issue has bounced back and forth a couple of times over the years. It doesn't really ruin my day the way it is, but you would think I could see an owner's caches when looking at their profile. Link to comment
