Love
I've decided I need to host my first geocaching event - what better place than Astoria! What better time, than the Goonies 25th Anniversary. If anyone has any suggestions for me on how to make it the best event ever, let me know. Quote Link to comment
+ZeroHecksGiven
Nice, I was planning on driving down for the anniversary, so bagging an event the same weekend is a bonus. Count me in... Quote Link to comment

I will admit I had to google The Goonies to find out who they were before our trip to Astoria. My first time in Astoria was in 1946 when our ship the USS Poseidon, ARL-12 stopped there before going up to Swan Island for decommision. Ambrosia, I can't imagine you ever being old. +travisl
I'd originally planned in attending all the Goonies 25th Anniversary events, but couldn't afford to do that and the cache machine. Kind of a bummer, since I'm the biggest Goonies fan I know (thus, my profile pic). Have a blast -- I'll be there in spirit. Quote Link to comment

Love
Only a few days away now - can't wait! I need to load my gps with caches in Astoria. Does anyone have any must-do cache suggestions for the area? Quote Link to comment

Does anyone have any must-do cache suggestions for the area? Most of what we have done in that area is over by Fort Stevens. Since we cant make it for the cache machine we are going to try and hit the river walk area and bag some of those caches. Quote Link to comment
