Another reason to go to Astoria

I've decided I need to host my first geocaching event - what better place than Astoria! What better time, than the Goonies 25th Anniversary.

 

If anyone has any suggestions for me on how to make it the best event ever, let me know.

I'd originally planned in attending all the Goonies 25th Anniversary events, but couldn't afford to do that and the cache machine. Kind of a bummer, since I'm the biggest Goonies fan I know (thus, my profile pic). Have a blast -- I'll be there in spirit.

Most of what we have done in that area is over by Fort Stevens. Since we cant make it for the cache machine we are going to try and hit the river walk area and bag some of those caches.

Not in Astoria, but across the river is Room With A View and what a view from that room. Definitely worth the side trip.
