MKB?

New to the sport and keep seeing references to "MKB" in cache listings. What is MKB? I'm guessing its something magnetic, but can't be sure. Help please!

Never seen it before. There are a lot of "regional" names and references.

 

My guess is "microblinkie". a pinky fingernail-sized micro cache container, could be magnetized.

Got me! Never run across that one yet. I am thinking maybe Magnetic Key Box, but in my area they are referred to as key "holders" not boxes. I'm sure if you could give a GC# to a cache that has that in the description, any one of the regulars could probably figure it out.

Someone suggested that I post the usage example that I found. Not sure how to directly link you to the cache listing but it's called "Someone Had to Do It" and its located within 2 miles of zip code 31028.

GC# is GCVHEB. From the logs nobody else seems to understand what it means either! It appears from the descriptions in the log to be a plastic bag held by a magnet, NOT a magnetic key holder. Unless the CO was trying to be cryptic by giving the clue "mkb" to mean magnetically kept baggie or something.

 

Talk about the poster cache for "Get a Better Container" look at all the maintenance logs on this one!!

Some of the older logs talk about a lid being broken, then more recently they talk about the plastic bag, so I bet it started as a magnetic key box and at some point someone substituted a baggie.
