+GoGeoFerret
How can Google Maps tell which Geocaches you have downloaded to your GPSr? If it can hide the ones you have found I assume it can hide the ones you have downloaded? or maybe not thats why I am asking. Thanks Edited March 13, 2010 by GoGeoFerret Quote Link to comment
+briansnat
It doesn't. I don't think the system keeps track of what cache each person downloads. Quote Link to comment

+Chrysalides
OK that's great. At least I know not to look any further for an answer. Is the motivation for this so that you know not to send it to your GPSr again if it is already there? No clean solution to this - especially since behavior might depend on the GPSr you have. But you can work around the problem if you use 3rd party tools like GSAK to manage your offline database. Quote Link to comment
+StarBrand
Just a note - cache page listing change all the time. It is wise to purge what is on your unit regularly and download only the newest freshest data. Quote Link to comment

I've been sending things to my garmin twice, and it just overwrites the first one, no problem. Quote Link to comment
the3gmen
yeah, do't worry about having the caches in your gpsr multiple times taking up more of the limited space. Every time you load a set of caches to the gpsr, it erases the previous set. Quote Link to comment

To download multiple caches I have set up a pocket query and I can also upload a field notes text file from my garmin oregon 300 which lets me review and log all the finds since my last upload. Thanks once again to you all Quote Link to comment
