+Arrow42
http://www.bizrate.com/gps/garmin-etrex-ve...pareprices.html Or http://www.bizrate.com/gps/garmin-gpsmap-6...pareprices.html I think both are good but just want to be sure! eTrex = $170 60CSx = $300 Looks like it will depend on your budget and your dedication to geocaching. +Zolgar
Between the two in price there is also the Garmin eTrex Vista HCx. I've been extremely happy with mine. The Venture HC is a good model too though. Not familiar enough with the 60CSx to comment. Quote Link to comment
+The Ravens
My opinion and thought process is buy the best that I can afford that does what I want. I never buy cheap tools (I'm not saying the eTrex is cheap guys). Been there done that! We bought the GPSMap 60CSx. Arrow42's commit is a good one and probably the one you should use. +Arrow42
Oh, in case you want to see what other cachers have said about those units check this page out: http://www.geocaching.com/reviews/gps I would read the reviews with a grain of salt, but it can be helpful in getting a bigger picture. +briansnat
If money is no object it twill be difficult to find a better unit than the 60CSX. The Venture HC is a good budget model, but has limited map capacity (24 megs) and waypoint capacity (500). The 60CSX has expandable memory and holds 1,000 waypoints on board and thousands more as points of interest. The 60CSX can also give you turn by turn driving directions with the proper software loaded. The Venture HC can't do that. Quote Link to comment
