CoyoteRed
The title "Long Way Round" finally came available on Netflix and is being shipped today! I first read about this series on Kevin Kelly's site. There are some outtakes on YouTube which I watched and became even more interested in watching the whole series. Exploring on a bike... Coyote, make sure you look for their sequel, Long Way Down, where they rode from John-O-Grotes in the UK, to Cape Town in South Africa. I have both series on DVD. It's next on the list! I saw one of these earlier this year riding around a park I have many caches in and thought it would really be great to have one! I could probably hook my BoBs trailer to it and make long trips with ease, comfort and style! Already thinking about ways to raise money for one! Quote Link to comment
+MissJenn
I just found this TB on New Year's Eve: Up On Two! Current Goal: For riders, by riders- share pics, routes, wrenching tips, favorite roads, coords, lunch stops, etc. Use the attached jump drive to make a folder of your own motorcycle experiences! Ride this bug as far and well as you can, fill it up, and we'll have a fantastic resource to share! I pointed the cache owner to this thread. Quote Link to comment
+Corfman Clan
I enjoy caching by bike. I usually keep my Mt Bike in my truck so it's ready to go whenever I might want to use it to find a cache. I'll tend to drive to an area and ride from there. I've combined riding/hiking several times. I use the bike when I think it will save time. One time I pushed my bike up a jeep trail with an 800' elevation gain because it would save a lot of time once at the top and on the way back. That didn't work out like I had planned. I especially like to cycle to caches with a cycling theme. Here's my log for Sun City Cyclist. I found that using my road bike, a Calfee. Mostly I use my Mt bike since I can take it most anywhere and not worry about the terrain. It's a Gary Fisher Genesis. Here are some pictures of it taken at two caches I have found Here's links to a few logs from caching adventures I used my bike on: Skull Mesa, DRIV'IN ME BANANAS, Free Wyle E!, and Matrix with a View. My condolences on the loss of your friend. Quote Link to comment
+Rockin Roddy
Nice looking Gary Fisher, I have a friend who rides Fisher! Love the adventures too!! Looking to get a ram mount for my new DeLorme PN-40, want to do a lot more caching on the motorcycle now that I have auto-routing (should make it much easier to find my way in traffic and such). Plus, a friend is showing interest in caching, he rides bike (mountain) alot and it just could be the push for me to break out my GT! I really miss my long night rides (usually 20-25 miles a night). +mule team
I don't share this often but I have brain damage. I ask, beg, plead that you wear a helmet. I don't wish having to relearn how to walk, talk, live, function, work, be alone on my worst enemy. I know some people do not do it and they have many reasons, but I know what I am talking about when I say that brain damage is not as glamorous as everyone says that it is. Quote Link to comment

+KarateNeko2
I don't have much of a story to tell, but I'll tell it anyway! On the weekends I ride my bicycle around a few micro caches and small caches. It always brightens my day when I find them! Quote Link to comment

+frinklabs
The majority of my cache finding and all my cache placing thus far has been by bicycle. Here's my Canadian Tire mountain bike at my favourite cache in Toronto: The TB that I left - the best bicycle-themed bug I have seen so far: I cached so much with that bike that the crank arm bearings seized. This is my Dad's spare bike - better equipped for long-distance cache runs: No flash on the cellphone camera, so I used the Maglite; this picture is for a fun ex-ALR cache. Does anyone know what is the record number of finds in 24 hours by bicycle? I'd like to have a go at it this summer - there are a number of power trails growing in nearby Brantford. +TheAlabamaRambler
My first bike/cache/camp trip was actually the trip I made to the GeoCoinFest a few weeks or so back, FUN! Wow, time flies when you're having fun... the timestamp on that post caught me by surprise... doesn't seem that long ago that I met you at GeoCoinFest! Motor on down to Alabama and let's find some caches. Quote Link to comment
Finigan
Hate to ask, this sounds like a great idea and I would like to start something like this in our area so I did a quick read through the forum to find out the hows, the rulez and the regs but ... I couldn't find any - anybody got some tips for me? Thanx Quote Link to comment
+Viajero Perdido
Something I've always wondered... Do police offers see the need to lock their bikes when they're conspicuously marked POLICE? Or do they figure that nobody would have the nerve to mess with a bike like that? (I know I just replied to a 2-year old post, so this is more of an open question.) I had a little trouble with mud on a cache ride: Quote Link to comment
+EVIL Ninjection
Hey! My team is called the "GeoBiking Ninjas" I thought I was the only one who called it GeoBiking. The only reason that I haven't found a lot of geocaches is because I bike to over 80% of them. Quote Link to comment
