  1. Here ya go -GC1NEB2- There are a lot caches on this trail.
  2. Here's the thing. He already has the poison plants attribute. He didn't put it in the description though. And it's not just a little sumac. I'm talking about 4+ feet of it right off the trail. I look for a single way to not touch it and I can't find one so far. See:
  3. Earlier today I went to find a cache that just got re-enabled after a long period of time due to poison sumac. I had already been there before while it was disabled to see how bad it was and when I saw the sumac I called it off. The problem was that when I went to search for it today (assuming all was fixed) there was still a bunch of sumac. I personally don't think it is safe for anyone to search for a cache that has poisonous plants anywhere near it. Should I post a needs archived or needs maintenance or just do nothing?
  4. I live in California and it results in 1000 caches. The farthest of which is 7.9 mi away. Haha, we have so many caches around here!
  5. tik-tok (on the clock but the party don't) ___ BUMP!!!!
  6. My high school allows clubs to be made by students so I was think about making a geocaching club. I was hoping you would have some ideas for it. I was also hoping to receive support that this game is awesome that I could show people thinking about joining.
  7. It was a guard rail cache. I had no idea they were infamous. At least it was fairly big.
  8. About a month ago when I started to use the forums I was reading lots of threads, one of which was about bad locations. And I was thinking that people only dislike LPC's, bush hides, etc. But then I saw one of my locations on there. At the time it seemed very original, but to my luck, it wasn't. Did any of you place an unoriginal cache when you were a newbie?
  9. Hey! My team is called the "GeoBiking Ninjas" I thought I was the only one who called it GeoBiking. The only reason that I haven't found a lot of geocaches is because I bike to over 80% of them.
  10. Here's a really good cypher one in my area GCPDMM.
  11. Welcome to the addiction! I love caches with a good "Aha!" moment. That's just me! It's especially fun if they're 5 star.
  12. Don't you just LOVE the moment when they 'click'?!? I used to hate mystery caches until the first time I figured one out on my own. Now I'm addicted! I'm sorry but I'm just so excited to do more! So are you like me and you like mystery caches or are you the type of person who doesn't care for them one bit?
  13. There's a reason people like me LOVE macs. They never almost never have problems. As for the Windows problem I have nothing to add.
  14. Your idea describes a mystery cache, not a multicache IMO. You would have to ask others for a more experienced cacher's answer, but I have seen a very similar mystery cache in my area. Here's the GC# GCMA03
  15. What is the best swag you have ever seen (not necessarily taken) in a geocache? The best thing I have found is an official Geocaching patch. Of course I have only found 51 caches (yeah I know it's sad) so I haven't seen very much swag.
  16. Why not, I'm not that good at puzzle caches though. But that might be a good thing because then you will know that it is hard. Send me an email of it if you want to.
  17. I have a pretty good cache that is made of PVC. If you are talking about 1/2" then I can see why you wouldn't like it, but I use 1 1/2" which makes it possible to fit swag. And if made right can be waterproof. I also stylized it. But that's just my opinion; you are free to feel how you want about it. How did you make it watertight? I ask because every PVC pipe cache I have found has been wet inside. Yes. Here in the wet side of Washington the only containers that stay dry are ammo cans and lock and locks. Preforms are okay for micros. It is amazing how wet a container designed to hold water can get on the inside when used for a cache container. Every other container will not survive from November to February, they all will be wet inside. I was thinking it was mainly the location too. Here, the watertight test I use is submerging it in water for 10 seconds. If I see any air bubbles I don't use it. I still use bags though.

I ask because every PVC pipe cache I have found has been wet inside. What seems to work for me is to seal one side with PVC cement. I also greased and sanded it which may have helped. It's only 5" long. Of course the location itself rarely gets wet. And I live in SoCal. The location is at a high altitude. It seems to not let in any water.

  20. What are some cheap and quality cache containers? The cheapest quality container that I know of is taking two water bottles and removing the top from one and the cap from the other and gluing them together. This gets very cheap if you buy a large pack of water.
  21. Yes! I read the entire thing! I should definitely try some of these.
  22. Unless it's a Quad/Dirt bike only area, you can probably get there by foot. Your options right now are probably to either A. move it to a far location where only smaller forms of transportation (DBs, Quads, not cars) can get to, or, B. Put it in a location where only those vehicles are allowed.
  23. In my area, about a third of all caches are premium so I thought it was a good idea to get PM. But the reasoning behind all of those premium caches I still fail to understand. As for me, I will always leave my caches public.
