Stuey
Just had a message from my Dad who is on holiday in Australia. He's not a cacher but knows all about it from me. He just found a cache by chance and sent me an SMS message with the rough area where he was. I found the nearest cache (an offset multi) and sent back the description of the cache box from a photo someone uploaded. He confirmed it was the same. I txt'ed him back and told him to sign the logbook for me (only kidding). (EDIT to add) Further to that, he told me that he'd found the cache out in the open up on a viewing platform. He replaced it in what he thinks might possibly be a correct place, but I've emailed the owner with his description of where the cache is now so it can be checked. What service eh? Cache "maintenance" by a muggle and someone 10700 miles away! Edited October 12, 2008 by Stuey Quote Link to comment
Kabuthunk
That's pretty cool actually, confirming a muggle-find from half a planet away Quote Link to comment
The Blorenges
What a lovely story! You see? - Geocaching is inherited, you get it from your children. MrsB Quote Link to comment
Bear and Ragged
I txt'ed him back and told him to sign the logbook for me (only kidding). Only kidding! Caching by remote control, tell him to go back and sign the log... It IS all about the numbers! Nice tale! Quote Link to comment
Team Balders
I txt'ed him back and told him to sign the logbook for me (only kidding). Change your name to "TEAM Stuey", recruit the old man who can then sign the log Quote Link to comment
Glyn Morris
I have trouble finding them with a gps, a map, a compass, my whole family, some binoculars, x-ray specs, psychic enhancement DVDs and the co-ords. Does your father want to join my team? Quote Link to comment
