Team GeoBlast Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 What is the most fun you've had with a cache hidden in a tree? Looking some fresh ideas. Quote
novw.nl Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...69-69c516f64be6 don't forget to look at the images ! Quote
Shiraz-mataz Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 I'll just describe what I found on a couple since it wouldn't make any sense reading the cache descriptions. I found one where you had to lower a small cache hidden high in a tree by using a string tied to it and thrown over a limb. Another one had a small/micro cleverly disquised as a magnolia blossom in, of course, a magnolia tree. Quote
The Blorenges Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 This one looks like a classic "cache in a tree" - The tallest tree in the forest. Unfortunately, I have a couple of problems with finding it... 1. I'm only 5ft tall, and 2. It's 10,612 miles from me. Otherwise I'd be up for it MrsB Quote
Radnord Posted May 13, 2008 Posted May 13, 2008 Many fun ones: Micro hidden behind a flap of bark, False branch with end carved out to house the cache, bison tube in fake fir cone with a magnet to stick it to a washer screwed in to the tree, Canisters high in the tree requiring a rope to lower it down, Maddingly small camouflaged bison hanging in foilage. I hate, er, love them all! Quote
slammer47 Posted May 13, 2008 Posted May 13, 2008 GCVYCK "Lane Change" hidden by bennet in Dayton, OHIO, USA. This cache remains #1 on my favorite terrain finds of all-time. Its a 2-stage multi-cache. 1st stage is at the VERY TOP of a double pine tree. 2nd stage is VERY HIGH UP and a very difficult climb. Quote
Team GeoBlast Posted May 13, 2008 Author Posted May 13, 2008 Playing in the tree was fun for me! Outstanding! I loved the u-tube trailer for your cache. Man, I want to party with you Kit Fox! Quote

Dread_Pirate_Bruce Posted May 14, 2008 Posted May 14, 2008 So, do I hear anyone in favor of a friendly lamp post base cache? Quote
Flatouts Posted May 14, 2008 Posted May 14, 2008 We have one coming out very soon (waiting to be published) GC1B3NW "Feeling Squirrely" - you don't have to climb... It's just for fun not hard - well unless you can't catch a squirrel with a fishing pole. Quote
Stargazer22 Posted May 14, 2008 Posted May 14, 2008 Hey Vince, what kind of bait do you use for that? An acorn fly? Quote
