Yam69
Hi All just had to tell you all about my first ever day of geocaching. Took the Mrs & 2 of the kids (the other had to go to work) we attempted 4 all within a 5 mile or so radius from where I live & was VERY pleased to find them all. Actually I found 1 & the Mrs found 3 which pleased her no end We were out for over 5 1/2 hours ! Kids are now tucked up in bed & big `un is jealous of all the fun we had. Kids were thoroughly done in (gotta say I`m a little tired too !) Gotta say it exceeded my expectations. TOP day & a TOP `sport` or `past time`or what ever people want to call it. +Mr Hedgehog
Hi AllTOP day & a TOP `sport` or `past time`or what ever people want to call it. Addiction, is, I think the word. Welcome to the world of being out whatever the weather, just to get the next fix. Strange that a little plastic box hidden somewhere can cause so much excitement. My wife is definately the best "specialist equipment" I take caching with me as she rarely fails to spot a well hidden cache......(and she thinks I take her for the company ) Quote Link to comment

Yam69
just had to tell you all about my first ever day of geocaching. Welcome! Just out of interest, how/when did you hear about Geocaching? to be honest I`ve know about it for a few years but at the time I looked at the prices of the GPS units I couldn`t justify the expense as they used to be really expensive I went to the Outdoor show at the NEC recently & went to a talk by some chap & he explained that the prices had really come down so I thought I`d give it a try glad I did !
