echo_26 Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 (edited) Probably old news but..I noticed today when I downloaded the the newest update for my Topo(version 6.13.6) that you can now view in the free version of GE....Before this option was grayed out on MapSource...I glad I noticed this because I was close to getting the paid version of GE just so I could utilize this feature... +Chuy! Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 You lost me; view what? Version 6.9 allowed the transfer of all your waypoints and tracks into G-E with the click of a button. You had to have G-E installed but not opened. Quote
Smac999 Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 what did you have before? my 6.11 works fine. Quote
csacsa Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 How do I transfer my waypoints and tracks to GE? Quote
jmundinger Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 How do I transfer my waypoints and tracks to GE? Open the file that you want to save in MapSource and then view it in GE. You then have the option to save that file in GE. Quote
+Chuy! Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 How do I transfer my waypoints and tracks to GE? This seems easier to me: Make sure you have version 6.9 or higher. Make sure Gooble Earth is installed - it's free! In MapSource, go to the View drop down menu. G-E should be the last option. Quote
echo_26 Posted January 24, 2008 Author Posted January 24, 2008 (edited) what did you have before? my 6.11 works fine. ...Apparently I had an pretty old version..4 something..Never really bothered to update when I installed my Topo which isn't like me at all...Egg on my face on this one...Either way,it's a neat feature.. cobra-ak Posted January 24, 2008 Posted January 24, 2008 Google Earth shows up but is it real slow to finally focus? Quote
+Chuy! Posted January 24, 2008 Posted January 24, 2008 May be your bandwidth, or lack of. You can adjust settings to make a wider view area. It should be not any blurrier (is that a word?) than the images in Google Maps. Quote

cobra-ak Posted January 27, 2008 Posted January 27, 2008 Anywhere in the USA or Europe the satellite view is much finer, as you go to other parts of the world it becomes coarser. YMMV Quote
Baumer Posted January 27, 2008 Posted January 27, 2008 Indiana happens to have some of the best satellite imagey available on Google Earth, but this is how mine looks. Quote
