Use the MapSource software that came with the unit to backup your data to a computer. To reset: A. Power the unit off. B. Press and hold the three following buttons: QUIT, MENU & OUT C. Power the unit on while still holding the three buttons from step B. D. The unit will boot up. Great thanks. I'll give that a shot. Backing up isn't an issue, there really isn't anything on there than I can dump back up or use GSAK to restore. J Mine's been doing the same thing with the "Hold Level" prompt..I'll have to try the master reset as well..

Loaded caches in Nuvi 250w with alarm checked and everything looks good...Some questions though..The Y and N for found or not,do I just change the N to Y when I find a cache manually??...I only loaded caches that I have not found,so it's all N so far...I guess I could just run the script over again after a day or two of caching leaving all the found caches out...On this subject,do you have to remove all custom poi's through poiloader,or does the act of adding new poi's through poiloader just overwrites the one's on the unit??..

Just in the last few days,the trusty 60Csx has been giving this problem...When E compass is on,it will display the Hold Level prompt even though it is level in hand...But on the a table top or something similar,it shows level..It's like it has become super sensitive to any movement in the hand or something...Calibration doesn't help any...Has anyone else seen this behavior in their unit?...It causes a noticeable change in direction I know if the thing isn't level...about 5 degree difference from level on table top to holding in hand...Not good.. BTW, have had unit for over 3 years with out a hint of problems until now..

On MapSource,there's waypoint icons that I would like to have on my GPSr,in particular the hunting icons.. Is there a way to get these on my 60CSx as some of my custom icons? Thanks

...I believe its' the nature of the Sirf receiver to roam a bit when still..It's been talked about on here in the past...I have the same unit and notice the same behavior..

...Apparently I had an pretty old version..4 something..Never really bothered to update when I installed my Topo which isn't like me at all...Egg on my face on this one...Either way,it's a neat feature..

Probably old news but..I noticed today when I downloaded the the newest update for my Topo(version 6.13.6) that you can now view in the free version of GE....Before this option was grayed out on MapSource...I glad I noticed this because I was close to getting the paid version of GE just so I could utilize this feature...
