+Teuchters
I'm sure this has been covered before somewhere (Moote??) but I can't find it. On the (big) PC, if you double click on a cache icon in Memory-Map, your browser will open up to give the cache info from GC.com. Something similar must work on the PPC version - double clicking should open up CacheMate in the field. Anybody know how? Quote Link to comment

+dino-irl
That thread explains what to do if you're using Roolku's or Edgemaster's scripts but doesn't help if you aren't using either of them....is there a simple way to do it if using Lordelph's icons? Quote Link to comment
+purple_pineapple
That thread explains what to do if you're using Roolku's or Edgemaster's scripts but doesn't help if you aren't using either of them....is there a simple way to do it if using Lordelph's icons? i use roolku's script, but I do know that the command line that you need to insert into the GSAK to MM export is the same. (I think it uses /cmate in it somewhere... However, I am ALMOST certain that you can't use one export to MemoryMap on the 'big' PC that will link to the GC com pages, and then export from there to PocketMM and get Cmate pages. GSAK exports to big MM as with cachemate clickable icons which then work when i export from big MM to pocket MM, but do NOT work on the big PC, that would need another GSAK export. I decided not to bother as I don't find it that essential to have clickable links in MM on the big PC. Does that make sense? probably not! Dave Quote Link to comment
+PopUpPirate
My guide here : http://www.nwcaching.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=169 Apologies for the need to register with the forums but I want full control over the thread, and can edit the original post if changes happen. Cachemate not needed. Quote Link to comment
+keehotee
But unfortunately it only works with new Memory Map - spare a thought for those of us "struggling " along (hahaha) with MM2004. Quote Link to comment
+ForsdykeFinders
I also run MM2004 and decided to download the Edgemaster script and get the fancy icons working. If you follow through the links it brings you to a guide which can be accessed here. The only thing you have to be aware of is the location of your GSAK folder. Make sure you check the memory.txt paths so they point at the right directory. This gets the icons working brilliantly. To get the Cachemate link, all you need to do is change the link text to read \cmate:%code. In the guide it shows as *default. Once you open the new overlay on the Pocket PC and click on one of the icons, it opens the entry in Cachemate. Good Luck... Quote Link to comment
+Teuchters
Thanks to all those who offered help and advice. I now have it working - isn't it great!! Quote Link to comment

Do you know if there is a parameter that can be passed to cmate in order to specifiy the database the %code is in? Cheers, Jon. Quote Link to comment
+Dobunnis
But unfortunately it only works with new Memory Map - spare a thought for those of us "struggling " along (hahaha) with MM2004. We still use MM2004 with GSAK 7 and CacheMate. You can export the icons to MM but you must have the update patch to make it the latest MM2004 (version 4.4.3 Build 565, link through from the the Web... Check for Updates... menu) otherwise you cannot import a CSV file. Then you can use the LordElf icons with either the roolku script for GSAK6 or update to GSAK7 and use the custom MM export option. The advantage of the latter is that you can incorporate lots of details about the cache in the description box so you have all the information within MM on the PPC. At the moment we have the last four log details (i.e. found, not fount, etc), whether the is a TB or not, the decripted hint, etc. You will need to play with it to get it the way you like it but there are lots of details elsewhere on the forums. As for CacheMate, as far as I can remember if it is loaded into the current database it will open with \cmate:%code in the link box of MM. Hope that all makes some kind of sense, Helen Quote Link to comment

Not forgetting that if you use the smart tags that should be \cmate:%smart. Cheers, Trevor Quote Link to comment
+ForsdykeFinders
What do smart tags do?? Quote Link to comment
+T.R.a.M.P.
What do smart tags do?? Sorry if my terminology was off - what I meant was a Smart Name. This is referenced by the special tag %smart. It is all in the GSAK help but basically Smart Names are something more meaningful than the default GCxxxx codes and if GSAK is exporting smart names then the MM setting needs to use the %smart tag because the %code tag will not have the desired effect. I hope that helps. Cheers, Trevor Quote Link to comment
