geospyder
Congrats! I just ordered the Vista HCx last night and received the UPS tracking this morning. It's on its way. Edited August 3, 2007 by geospyder Quote Link to comment
Liberty
I ordered my Vista HCx on 06/24/07 and just received it yesterday (08/02/07). I'm looking forward to learning how to use it. Right now I'm trying to figure out how to download geocaches from the comptuer directly onto the gps. I'm tired of hand entering the coordinates. ) Quote Link to comment
Miragee
Since you are a Premium Member, you can create Pocket Queries. EasyGPS is very easy to use, but GSAK (Geocaching Swiss Army Knife) is a much more powerful program that really helps filter, slice, and dice the caches if your "caching region" is cache-rich. +Team Cotati
What defines a 'region' as "cache rich"? Quote Link to comment
Miragee
One where it takes more than one 500-cache PQ to cover an area fewer than 15 miles from your Home Coordinates . . . Or, whatever other criteria you want to use. I have to request several PQs to cover the areas I might drive through when I go into town to run my errands. Quote Link to comment
TrailGators
What defines a 'region' as "cache rich"? Dense is a better word. There are over 4000 caches in San Diego county. The density is even higher up in LA. Quote Link to comment
Team Cotati
And to think, I've been using GSAK for over two years and running errands without the GPSr in my car. This I must research. Quote Link to comment

Harry Dolphin
DAng, I ordered mine last Sunday, but they won't have them in stock until at least next Wednesday. Who'd you order it from? Quote Link to comment
geospyder
I ordered my Vista HCx last night through Amazon.com. Even though it was ordered through Amazon, the actual company ends up being Electronica Direct. The price was $241 plus $7.87 for shipping for a total of $248.87. Just checked UPS and the scheduled delivery date is 08/10/2007 - next Friday! Edited August 4, 2007 by geospyder Quote Link to comment
