+Dorsetgal & GeoDog Posted December 1, 2007 Author Posted December 1, 2007 (edited) Another pledge fulfilled today and more pledges made, ONLY 7 days to get them caches set! See the list of NEW accessible caches Edited December 1, 2007 by Dorsetgal & GeoDog Quote
+Dorsetgal & GeoDog Posted December 6, 2007 Author Posted December 6, 2007 (edited) Another pledge fulfilled today with a cache that has just gone live. For anyone still planning to fulfil before the draw on Sunday, I have decided to make the cut off point midnight Saturday to be eligable for entry into the coin draw that I'll make at The Cachehoppers bash on Sunday. Fortunately, I successfully sold a couple of sold out coins from my personal collection this week to fund the purchase of a number of other coins to give away in the draw on Sunday (in spite of the best efforts of a fellow geocacher who can't spell Portugal) Edited December 6, 2007 by Dorsetgal & GeoDog Quote

SlytherinAlex Posted December 7, 2007 Posted December 7, 2007 (edited) Fortunately, I successfully sold a couple of sold out coins from my personal collection this week to fund the purchase of a number of other coins to give away in the draw on Sunday (in spite of the best efforts of a fellow geocacher who can't spell Portugal) You advertised the Portugal geocoin as Sold Out. I made the coin and it is NOT SOLD OUT at all. I have a fair few left. I stopped selling them on ebay as people were buying them for face value and them reselling them as "Sold Out" at hugely inflated prices. a. Edited December 7, 2007 by SlytherinAlex Quote
+Dorsetgal & GeoDog Posted December 7, 2007 Author Posted December 7, 2007 (edited) A. Ebay offers a question facility which you could have employed if you were so bothered. B. Rather than simply copy my page listing you could have made your own and waited an hour. C. Your attempt didn't make any difference anyways as you were so keen to scupper the existing auction you made an error in the spelling. D. I was told the coin was sold out in good faith and sold it as so. E. It has been in my personal collection and was not previously offered on Ebay. F. The selling location should have been a BIG clue!!!!!!! D'oh! G. These were the first two coins I have EVER sold on Ebay, sold with the PRIME intention of making a small profit to rebuy coins to GIVE AWAY to other cachers this weekend. WELL DONE BOYS!!!!!! +Dorsetgal & GeoDog Posted December 7, 2007 Author Posted December 7, 2007 I think rather than endure further personal attacks I will take this off forum and deal with it via the moderators. I really don't know what your issue is with me Tony, but you manage to make a mountain out of a molehill ... frequently. Now, kindly keep the thread on the topic of the I Pledge coin .... Quote

+Dorsetgal & GeoDog Posted December 18, 2007 Author Posted December 18, 2007 The " I PLEDGE" draw duly took place at Lianes' Caching Christmas Cracker event on the 9th December. All the people who successfully fulfilled their pledge i.e. set a wheelchair accessible cache within the given time frame had their name put into a hat (a rather nice red fluffy one with pom pom), and we drew out names one by one until all the coins I had gathered were accounted for. The winners, in the order drawn were: 1. The Phillimore Clan 2. Rainbow Chasers 3. Lydford Locators 4. The West Viewers 5. Jolly Jax 6. Maple Leaf 7. Us 4 and Jess 8. Macroderma 9. The Moor We Hunt All winners received a new, unregistered geocoin as a prize. A special gift went to 00Heaven who was the only youngster to complete the pledge, and also a special coin was given to The Phillimore Clan for escorting the coin & pledge book to more events than anyone else All the winers who were not at the event have been notified and their coins were all posted yesterday and hopefully will arrive in time for Christmas. Many thanks to DarrylW4 & Firefly03 of the Cache-a-Maniacs podcast who kindly donated two of the coins, the rest were donated by me. Thanks everyone, watch out for the next incarnation of the I Pledge next year Quote
