+bashnme
Is there a way for a computer (PC/Vista) illiterate senior to get the Palm Quick Install function to work? I'm trying to use a Palm Tungsten E2. Edited May 4, 2007 by bashnme Quote Link to comment
+Miragee
I downloaded and have used a little program called Pilot Install, but I don't know if it works with Vista. It works on this DELL laptop with XP Media Edition, which isn't compatible with the Palm Desktop software. Even with Pilot Install, I have to switch users to the Administrator account to prevent getting the horrible "blue screen of death." Quote Link to comment
+bashnme
It really amazes me that we can put man on the moon, but can't make money that doesn't stick together or programs and other wonders of the world that work as advertised. Thanks for the reply. Quote Link to comment

+bashnme
Thank you Klatch. Went and looked and I think that even I may be able to follow that procedure. Shows what I know, would never thought to go the New Age manufacture for assistance for help with a new fanggled contraption. Just remember that old age is great.....so long as you wake up every morning. "me" Quote Link to comment

Chumpo
I have been having major issues with trying to get my GSAK info from my new Vista laptop into my Palm pda. I had tried everything, and it just wasn't working out. Almost everything, that is. Today I figured it out. Yay!!! I exported the GSAK file into an sd card and then popped it in the pda. My cachemate program immediately recognized the card and loaded up everything just like a hotsync would have. I'm back in business! Up yours, Palm!!! Quote Link to comment
+Team_LPD
Vista doesn't play well with Palm, I have the m515 model. Luckily my desktop has XP so I can do all the things I need to on there. I'd like to do everything on my laptop, GPS, GSAK and Palm......but I'll survive. Quote Link to comment
+Coach88
Well I've managed to export via my SD card to my cachemate program. However, now I'm stuck trying to run the cm2gpx macro and GSAK can't find the file (cm2gpx.gpx). Any suggestions??? Quote Link to comment
