kdf9511
Whoo...Hoo....Found our first Cache last week Just Off The Greenbelt. My 4 yr old boy and I had a few min to kill before picking up the daughter at girl scouts almost right on top of this one. We had a pretty good time. I have been lurking around the Geocache.com site for a while but didn't have a GPSr until recently when I was given a Gamin emap from a fellow member of a motorcycle riding club I belong to. I realy want to thank all the people who have place caches withn a very close distance to our home. This makes it a lot easier with the youngins. Just in looking around there is a couple of dozen within a mile or 2 from the house. Looking forward to more fun hunts..... Quote Link to comment

+Yno
I got addicted pretty quickly. Just don't get bummed out when you come across your first DNF (did not find). I was lucky and didn't hit one of those until my tenth try. They still are not fun, but it makes the sport challenging. If they were all easy it wouldn't keep me as interested. Quote Link to comment

My first was a DNF for a couple of days till i figured out how to use my garmin. If you don't find it the first time, go back another day and try again. I agree, easy can be boring. +Trucker Lee
Houston is a great area for caching, I deliver for a chain of stores and keep looking for caches I can get a truck to down there. Lots of caches everywhere, but so little time. Remember, a DNF is not a did not find, it's a "I gotta find that, can't be beat"! You have a very active group in your area and state, check here and here. Enjoy. Quote Link to comment
