+davy boy
Waymarking is not my thing and i do not know of anyone who does it either,(or admits it)! Is this not just another way of getting people to do Waymarking,Waymarking on Dartmoor. Personaly i think they should be kept separate, whats your views? +Haggis Hunter
I'm not that keen on Waymarking, I own some, but I haven't actually gone out and logged any. As for the cache, I don't see a problem with it, and in fact it may be interesting and open your eyes to Waymarking as you are doing both. Not a problem in my view. Quote Link to comment
Edgemaster
I like both. Virtuals and Locationlesses were becoming unmanageable as caches. Creating a waymark is the equivalent of finding a locationless, and finding a waymark is the equivalent of finding a virtual, nice solution all in one. So, it may not be everyone's thing, so what? This cache is really just a multi that allows you to log the waypoints separately, I like it. It may get more people into Waymarking, it may get flamed, but it's there for people to do. +spannerman
Is this not just another way of getting people to do Waymarking,Waymarking on Dartmoor. My thoughts exactly when I saw this one appear. I have no interest in Waymarking but I will do this one at some point just because it is on Dartmoor. I don't believe you have to log your visits on Waymarking.com in order to claim the cache so I suppose it's no different than a multi except that the coordinates for the stages are not listed on the page, you have to get them from the relevent waymark page. I hope this doesn't become a common type of cache though or else we could end up with "local" caches where you have to visit waymarks 100's of miles away in order to log the cache. At least with this one they are all on Dartmoor. Quote Link to comment
+Happy Humphrey
I tend to prefer geocaching, but quite enjoy the freedom of Waymarking - although I've "done" less than 20 and only "visited" one. I also have a cache for which you need to find a waymark (GCX21B). Quote Link to comment
+Wadders
Not my cup of tea, i feel one being added to my ignore list coming on Quote Link to comment
+plymplodders
The Waymarking cache mentioned is in fact just an elaborate multi. Much prefer this one to one of the many mystery caches that have you sat in front of the PC all day instead of out in the fresh air which geocaching was intended for. Pete Quote Link to comment
+Birdman-of-liskatraz
I think it's a good way to introduce Waymarking to a generally unenthusiastic Geocaching market.. if you don;t like it don't do it, but I see no harm in it. I have to say i enjoy puzzle caches, to each his/her own, like Plymplodders I love being outdoors and walking..though in the evenings or when it's raining I love the challenge of a puzzle cache. However much one tries every cache will never appeal to everyone so I think we need to learn to ignore the ones we don't enjoy doing and do the ones that we do. Now come on Pete, come and find Rudolph II!!! Quote Link to comment

+Renegade Knight
Looks like a perfectly viable puzzle cache with simple research before the expidition then a day in the field. Quote Link to comment
+NinjaPete
I'm afraid the bit that confuses me (easily done ) is where it says "The container is clearly marked CACHE. The cache is hidden under a rock, please do not put anything in the cache or take anything out,....." What's that all about? Quote Link to comment
+dino-irl
It may only be a small cache containing the logbook and stamp? Quote Link to comment
