Web Updater Failure

You should definitely try as Vlad instructs, and download the software separately and try the update that way, I am reasonably sure I heard about another here on the forum experiencing the same that rescued his GPSr that way.

Best of luck!

I have (unfortunately) had to do that TWICE and it has worked both times. When I did it I didn't turn anything (computer or GPS) off. I'd sure try a manual reload before going through the trouble of sending the unit back.

Sorry to say it but with my expierience with firmware I'd have to say your unit is dead and you'll have to send it in for replacement through Garmin (warrenty should cover it easily).

Every firmware update on any system can be repeated this should never be a return to base situation. If it is then the manufacturer is not following the basic rules of the game.
