+Alboy
golf for me, and I'm not sure if I'm gutted or not! I'd not played for a while and had the chance today, and, not being a regular golfer, spent the normal amount of time searching for lost balls etc in the woods, but all I could think of was "I could put a cache there, those stick look a bit unnatural etc etc". Never found any golf balls, might do a golf course multi-cache! Caching ruined anything for you?! Quote Link to comment
+JustAlan
I've always thought that golf was a good walk ruined. But then again, I've never been able to hit the silly ball in a straight line on a pitch and put course either. Quote Link to comment
+HazelS
ermm..... Lots of clothes, shoes and lost a fave pair of sun glasses... Ruined only a few things, but the friends I gained MORE than outweigh the things I lost! H Quote Link to comment

+BareClawz
Golf. I've never been able to understand a game where the object is to hit the ball as far away as possible and then go find it! Then complain when you can't!! BareClawz Quote Link to comment
Fiona Eliza & Florence
Golf. I've never been able to understand a game where the object is to hit the ball as far away as possible and then go find it! Then complain when you can't!! BareClawz sounds too familiar.....the object is to hide the box.....then send someone else to find it who complains when they can't! Quote Link to comment

+Mr'D
Ruined by £150 goretex jacket when I caught it on a nail trying to squeeze through a small gap! Hasn't done much for my social life either Quote Link to comment
+HazelS
Hasn't done much for my social life either When my friends started complaining they didn't see me at weekends, I started seeing them during the week, and then saw my cahcing buddies at weekends!!! Caching has done wonders for my social life... I'm sure I could have gone to a camping event every weekend bar about 4 this summer!! Quote Link to comment
+Captain Gore-tex
Ruined 1x Renault turbo, 1x Renault exhaust pipe, boots, hiking gear, personal coin, premium membership GPRS, petrol, time off work, other coins, cache containers, www time, get the message. 500 caches found (almost). Rough cost about £3 per cache, great cheap walking hobby really! Oh and a miserable partner left at home, almost priceless whilst out but at home painfully expensive, add on shopping trips, burnt offerings, silent treatment, 'you have to be seeing another woman' (I wish) et al. You talk about cost, it aint been cheap but it has been fun. Quote Link to comment
+freespirit1402
my alpinestars bike jacket? though i may eventually get the green stains out... my already dubious social credibility among my work colleagues? other than that its been more up than down for definate Quote Link to comment
