TheOhioBears
I was just watching on the news more about the caches along I-95 in Florida. I was curious as to how the caches around the wild fires have fared... I saw that this one didn't fare well...GCGKKH. TheOhioBears. Quote Link to comment

Road Rabbit
The bad news: there are a lot of new members of the Burnt Cache Club. The good news: in a few weeks there'll be a lot of new growth vegetation and downed trees to hide caches in! Quote Link to comment
Team Cotati
Now there's a really crack news team, keeping an eye on them caches along I-95. I wonder if any homes have been damaged? Can't hardly wait for the 10 o' clock news. Edited May 16, 2006 by Team Cotati Quote Link to comment
Lighteye
The 3 placed in the nature preserve directly behind my house are unavailable due to a 400 acre fire last week. We were all evacuated, but at the last minute, when the fire was a few hundred yards way, the wind shifted and spared our homes. The nature preserve did not fare so well. It is closed, same as it was 2 or 3 years ago when it went up in flames. There were several newer caches there, and the spongebob cache became the friedbob cache I am sure. Quote Link to comment
wildchld97
Oh boy...we're leaving for Daytona in less than a month. I was planning on doing a LOT of geocaching while I was there. I'm going to have to remember to make a last minute check before I leave to see if any of the caches I planned to do are disabled. In any case, I hope the owners of the caches ONLY lost their cache..and not their homes as well. Quote Link to comment
Z_Statman
While a lot were lost due to the fires a lot still remain or are being replaced as we speak! Don't bypass the affected areas without checking a PQ first, you might be supprised. Z_S Brevard County, FL Quote Link to comment
