+PopUpPirate Posted April 24, 2006 Posted April 24, 2006 What's been your fav so far? For me, Dottie's Delight GCJAX0 - an area I thought I knew well, but only from driving around - never knew that High Bullough reservoir existed. Great weather (muggy!) and a big bag of trail mix to munch on, plus I remembered my binocs. Top cache all round! Quote
+ryme-intrinseca Posted April 25, 2006 Posted April 25, 2006 Mine is Shakin all over in South Wales - love it! Not a house, car, or even a fence, in sight from the cache location - just unspoiled countryside. Quote
markandlynn Posted April 25, 2006 Posted April 25, 2006 Ours are listed here all pretty much equal for different reasons. Quote
+Stuey Posted April 25, 2006 Posted April 25, 2006 I have a bookmark list of my top 10 (see my sig lines below) Quote
+purple_pineapple Posted April 25, 2006 Posted April 25, 2006 I have a bookmark list of my top 10 (see my sig lines below) Just nosing at your list stuey, and I notice that Australia appears to have moved! Impressive feat... It shows up as 10,000 or so miles NORTH of my home... Wonder if those down under objected to having their country shifted to the Northern hemisphere Dave Quote

You could fall over the edge, except there's a low rope barrier there, which some bloke in a hut uses to fish from.... (apologies to anyone for which this comment means nothing!) More seriously, I'm surprised GC doesn't work out the shortest distance, not that it bothers me! And back OT, my fav so far is probably Alpha Quest U - but I haven't done any of those on other top 10 lists.... Quote

(apologies to anyone for which this comment means nothing!) Are there four giant elephants there? Just realised - duh - I have a bookmark list of my top ten caches too, but they appear in alphabetical order, rather than favourite first. Is there a way of changing that? Quote

Wonder if those down under objected to having their country shifted to the Northern hemisphere Dave Australia is north of England. The shortest great circle route is roughly 020°, depending on where you're going in Australia. Just because it's on the bottom right on a Mercator projection doesn't mean it's south-east Quote

Yes You can "edit" the cache name in a bookmark list so call the best AA Wildcat then the next BB Jonah's Journey etc. Personally dont bother as ours are all good just for different reasons Quote

Just because it's on the bottom right on a Mercator projection doesn't mean it's south-east funnily enough, i thought of suggesting that as a reason, but decided that was clearly a load of rubbish, and I wouldn't embarrass myself! I stand corrected! In my defence, I haven't got a globe or similar handy to look at, so I was just relying on an image in my head! (no comments) Cheers Alan! Quote
