Rhialto
After I read some discussion about this and that, I decided to write to Garmin support about the problem in GC mode and "Found" behing seleted by default and also to ask if they are reading, well, there is my message and the answer I got. Hello, Reporting an annoying behavior since I may be a future user... In GeoCache mode, after selecting a cache the highlighted button is "Found" and accidentally hitting Enter marks it found. With a firmware update I think you could modify this so "Notes" could be highlighted in place of "Found"? Garmin seems very distant to customers from what I can read yet. Why don't you get someone to lurk in the GeoCaching.com forums and see what everyone has to say about Garmin? There are so many Garmin related messages in a single place, hearing from very active users of your products "should" provide very interesting feedback. If serious about users care, it's the place. Thank you. Thank you for contacting Garmin International. Actually many of us read the forums daily. (However we do not post). We enjoy reading about how we are doing and to hear feedback on what we can make better. I appreciate your comments as well in regards to the 60cx and I will pass them on to the appropriate parties. GeoidPS
Garmin has spies who post tidbits here to entice us with little Garmin goodies to purchase. Quote Link to comment
+roadrage64
Hey Garmin, if you're really there and really listening: I don't know how anybody else on these boards feel, but I think a useful feature would be the ability to save your settings on handhelds, kind of like on a router. The more complicated and feature packed these units are becoming it would be nice to be able to save the confguration to file. If the unit is ever replaced via RMA, hard reset, or if you simply hose it up and can't remember what you did, you could restore from this file and get all your settings and owner info back without having to go through all the menus and options again. Just my 2 cents worth. Quote Link to comment
+weakfish
I'd like to be able to use my second unlock for bluechart on a second region rather than a second unit... Oh, and FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT'S HOLY, GIVE ME MY ALARM CLOCK BACK AND FIX THIS WANDERING THING ON MY 60CX! Thanks. Quote Link to comment
+ghs
"Garmin seems very distant to customers from what I can read yet." Really? I've personally found Garmin's customer service to be above and beyond that of any company I've ever dealt with. They respond to my emails. They helped me with a data transfer issue on my emap. (They even sent me a free data cable once just to make sure a problem I was having wasn't because of the cable...all as a result of an email, where I at no time suggested that I thought my cable might be bad, nor did I ask them to send me a new one. They just did it.) I found a bug in a recent MapSource beta. They fixed it. (Hey, Microsoft! Take a hint! ) They just came out with a new line of GPS receivers that revive the idea of data cartridges. I don't think they did that because they don't care what GPS users want. (Just a note to keep what you read balanced. ) Quote Link to comment

Rhialto
GIVE ME MY ALARM CLOCK BACK It would be nice for a Garmin tech to answer if it is ever possible to put back that function or if it impossible because the new "x" version harware is different. And also why they removed it in the 1st place, because it was of no use (they did a survey?) or they needed to remove a feature to insert another or? Since they want to remain anonymous (I think) then we must forget an answer... But I will ask them with an email and if I ever get the answer I will post it here. Quote Link to comment
+3jaze
If Garmin is reading this, when are you going to get "Real-Time Tracking" as found on page 59 of the user's manual of MapSource working with the 60CSx???? I would certainly hope that it would be through the USB connection rather than the serial connection. Neither the Garmin mode nor the NMEA mode is accomplishing this to date. Quote Link to comment
+ZackJones
What would be cool is if Groundspeak could confirm with Garmin that they do in fact read the boards and then we could get a pinned topic such as "Feedback to Garmin" so the Garmin tech guys and gals wouldn't have to read all of the posts. You do know that's why we have to wait on hold don't you - they're too busy surfing the forums Quote Link to comment
