+treebark
Which case do you use. I would like to get a case for my map60cs that would carry some batteries, If that's not possible then what are some good cases? I was looking at The Ultimate GPS Case from GPS Outfitters but I don't think you use it when it's on. I was also looking at Nite Ize Universal GPS case- holster style case. Quote Link to comment
+Chuy!
You should also invest in a neoprene cover 'cause the units get dropped and banged when they're in your hand, not in a case. I like Gilssons the best for my 60CS, but don't care on their design for my Vista. Quote Link to comment
Vlad
the ultimate case is a good one if you're interested in carrying extra batts and more. i use the 60 series case (neoprene/clear vinyl from garmin as well as their more traditional rectangular case if i need more protection. +corynadilo
How does the Gilssons plastic over the screen affect the viewability? Thanks in advance Quote Link to comment
+RSorak
It does affect the viewability, but not terribly, just adds an additional surface for reflections... Quote Link to comment
+Nocturnal Navigators
I guess the extra reflection would be a fair trade for protection. Quote Link to comment
+damel
I use the Garmin case for my 60c. It has worked great for me. It will not carry batteries however. Quote Link to comment
+azspecter
Question- Do any of these cases allow for access to the USB/Serial ports while they're on the unit? Thanks Quote Link to comment
+Quoddy
This case available from the GPS Store works well. Case has to be pulled down a bit to access cables or antenna unless a hole is punched into it. Gillson's case allows direct access to the antenna slot....but is no where near as form fitting and hand friendly. Quote Link to comment
