+Brandi Sour
We've just hidden our first cache (GCQWYY), but unlike others, we do not have the area and detailed maps showing on the cache page. Will these be added automatically or have we omitted something during our new cache reporting? Quote Link to comment
+Isonzo Karst
They'll show up eventually. As I write this, I'd bet they've appeared. Quote Link to comment
+Miragee
It will show up automatically. Congratulations on placing a new cache for others to find. Quote Link to comment
+Brandi Sour
Not yet, but many thanks for your reply. We wait with excited anticipation Quote Link to comment
+Jester2112
After the good map comes up, if you make any changes to the page, it'll revert back to the basic map with the blue star for a day or so also. However, it eventually comes back with the good map. Congrats on the first hide! Quote Link to comment
+Brandi Sour
Maps have still not appeared 48hours after listing. Should we be contacting someone? Also, the system has placed the cache West not East as completed on the reporting form! (It shows correctly on the cache page GCQWYY) This in turn has skewed the TBs mileage by over 3750 miles - wots happening? HELP! Quote Link to comment
Keystone
1. Please wait for the system to sweep through and add/update the maps, as explained in this section of Markwell's FAQ page. 2. You are correct about the travel bug mileage being based on West longitude rather than East, as properly displayed on your cache page. (Site volunteers view cache pages differently, and we see travel bug logs with the coordinates of the cache recorded in the log.) This is worth writing an e-mail to the contact at geocaching dot com address. Quote Link to comment
+briansnat
The maps ususally appear instantly, or nearly instantly for me. I wonder if the fact you are in Cyprus is causing it to take longer. Quote Link to comment
+Brandi Sour
Thanks again all. I have mailed as suggested and await their reply. In the mean time, if anyone fancies a trip to the mid-atlantic to rescue 3 marooned bugs...................... lol Quote Link to comment
