  1. When the journey you used to do as a muggle took 90 minutes, now takes 3-4 hours and......explaining why your shoes and knees are dirty and hair disheveled from a 90 3-4 hour drive from door to door!
  2. Great work Watchdog. Thanks for the quick response.
  3. Thanks SBELL - which is the contact address please?
  4. Great idea - thanks. If no-one else comes up with a better option, there are indeed a couple of possibilities here.
  5. Does anyone have or know a link to a good quality 10 years! icon? We're trying to organise a cake decoration for our event on Sunday and the icon on the 'Lost and Found' page, when enlarged, well, sucks for use of a better word! (Apparently the cake decoration is produced from a photo of the original graphic and needs to be of a better quality than the one we provided). Unfortunately I am not a 'black belt' with design/graphics etc. Thanks in advance.
  6. That's great. Many thanks for putting all that together. I think I'm edging back towards the 60 CSX/PDA option and will perhaps revisit the paperless/touch screens when their problems have been finally ironed out. Unless anyone else can persuade me otherwise..........................?
  7. I am also in the market to upgrade our Vista C and am really undecided between the 60 CSX and the Oregon. I have read numerous reviews, but feel the best feedback will come from cachers on this forum. Many users complain about the poor display of the Oregon, but how bad is it compared say with our Vista C for example? It would be great to be able to go paperless on one unit and leave the battered PDA at home in future, but is there any point if the screen really is this bad? CRider is the first person I've seen to report reception problems in canyons/under trees; has anyone else had issues with this? His straight comparison between the 60 CSX and Oregon are a concern. The 60 CSX (and its predecessor) appears to have been the 'benchmark' for caching for a good few years, has a good receiver/antennae, excellent caching credentials and is very cheap just now. But is it worth investing in a unit that is now 18 months old when newer technology has arrived? Decisions decisions!
  8. Doh!!! OK now I get it, non-premium members only. What did they say........ 'If all else fails, read the instructions!' Time to return to oblivion I guess aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaghh!!!!!!
  9. How come I still get them on on the cache logs page?

    GOOGLE ADS

Double the annual premium, but PLEASE trash the Ads! This annoyance will probably put off users and hey, 'Let's get more ads because we have fewer members now' - What a brilliant idea!! For me, this cash raising idea sucks!!
  11. Easy. Just download a Pocket Query, unzip the GPX file, then go to Map - import map, select the file and it's done. If you don't see gpx files in the pulldown menu while you are doing this, you might need to upgrade MM to the latest version as older versions only look for csv files. Brilliant - thanks very much. Sorry for delay in replying, but been away on vacation. (BTW on my version I have to import overlays)
  12. Is it possible to import cache coords into the Memory Map program? It would be great to do this and just print out a page for the day, rather than having to carry 2/3 OS Maps about!
  13. Talking of which, this hamster is off to bed as it's 1.30a.m. - I can hear the wife now ouch!
  14. Got to keep feeding the hamster eh?
  15. Ah, okay. The other http:// stuff still concerns me. The coin logging looks like a good retrieve but without the pages updating. Is it in your inventory on your profile? If you post a log (without submiting) does it show in your drop inventory? (Not that me knowing will make much of a difference, just data for gc.com) Yes it is available to drop HERE is one cache which shows my log, while the main page does not And HERE is a copy of the Found page, showing that the coin can be dropped

  18. This is the coin in question COIN
  19. Thanks for that - been waiting 5 hours so far!!
  20. I have logged some caches as found today, but the country page (Cyprus) has not updated the 'Last Found Date' or given me a nice red tick! (The relevant cache logs show my finds and running a PQ on 'my finds' returns a complete list including todays activities). Also, a coin I've logged still shows in the cache it came from, yet on the coin page and in my profile, it's 'in my hands'! Any ideas what's happening?
  21. Whenever I try to search for 'nearest caches' either from my profile or from a cache page, the results only go out to a 50 mile radius. I presume this is a default setting? Is there a way of altering this please? cheers Tim
  22. Hi We have just laid our first Puzzle Cache and want to use some pictures of flags in the clue. We have got everything needed in MS Word, but when we copy and paste into the 'Long Description' box, the pictures disappear. Help! Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.
