+ryme-intrinseca
Hello, I wonder if someone could help? I found a listing the other day, where all the text on the page (including the title, co-ordinates, etc.) was purple, and I want to make my own cache pages like this! The person who owns the page has told me that the code I need to use is: color:#8900B7; However, I don't know whereabouts I have to insert this - can someone help? And no matter *how* tempting it might be, no rude answers please!!! Thank you! Quote Link to comment
4wheelin_fool
Which page had the coords and the title colored? I use these pages for learning HTML http://nozen.com/geo/html.htm http://www.fortunecity.com/help/development/html/tags.shtml http://www.gps.org.nz/content/view/52/45/ http://cedesign.net/help2j.htm http://www.psacake.com/web/dy.asp this one has a color chart http://webmonkey.wired.com/webmonkey/reference/color_codes/ Quote Link to comment
+ryme-intrinseca
Ooh, thanks for all the links! Embarrassingly enough, I can't for the life of me remember which cache I was looking at, I know it was somewhere in Southern England, but that's not a lot of help! I think the person's name was Ali, but again.. not much help, I know! I'll let you know if I find it! Quote Link to comment
+HolyCowboys
I have not changed the color of text on cache pages, but the HTML text to do this on a standard Web page is..... <font color="purple">Any text here</font> The word purple can be replaced by a hexadecimal number like the one you had. +Isonzo Karst
When writing your cache page be sure to check the little box "The descriptions below are in HTML" that will allow you to use the <font color=whatever> tag </font> you'll have to modify the source code for the page form to change the color of the print above the description fields. +HolyCowboys
One correction to Isonzo Karst post. The whatever need to be surrounded by "quotes" . Sorry, that's correct HTML. Quote Link to comment

+WildGooseChase
where all the text on the page (including the title, co-ordinates, etc.) was purple I think you all forgot to read this part. The simple <font color="purple">Any text here</font> won't do what she wants. I accidentally changed the default colors on a cache page once but I don't remember how and the new html cleanup tool they use may not let you anyway. Quote Link to comment
+Jhwk
arrrgh - keep the text clean and simple - trick out your avatar. multi-color makes me feel like I'm being assaulted LIKE THIS Quote Link to comment

I doubt if HTML Tidy will allow someone to pollute the rest of the cache page like that anymore. Edited October 6, 2005 by Prime Suspect Quote Link to comment
