+zensunni
Hi I have prepared a gpx file of most ( if not all ) motorway junctions and service areas. It is available for download Here I got an original file from KiwiGary and have added about 20% more junctions and cleaned the data before formating it as a gpx file. The file is just under 1mB. The data concerning the M6 Toll is not as accurate as I would like. Otherwise the data is suitable for use with 1:100,000 maping. If you find errors or omissions I'd be gratefull for the correct information. Regards Zensunni Ken ) Quote Link to comment
Deego
Very nice Thanks . The only thing I would change (so far ) Is the name's of the 1 to 9 Junctions i.e M1 Jct 1 ---> M1 Jct 01 So that when you sort by name they are in the right order Quote Link to comment
+Stuey
Go on then... I'm intrigued now. What can I use this for please? Quote Link to comment

+zensunni
Hi Fruity & Doggit That is what I would expect you to get - that is a gpx file. Save the contents of your browser window as Junctions.gpx Hi Stuey It can be used in GSAK with the points filter to find caches adjacent to these junctions Zensunni Quote Link to comment

markandlynn
Not much point with the M6 toll as you have to pay to leave at each junction and then get back on for free but pay when you next get off could get very costly caching allong that one. Might be nice to tie these into maybe nearby petrol stations off the motorway with prices being so high ? or food ? or both ? Quote Link to comment
+zensunni
I have updated the gpx file containing the Motorway Junction data to rectify the sort on the code field. Also I have removed Clyde's e-mail address from the file. Sorry Clyde I didn't notice your mail address was in there. Fruity&doggit: would you please edit your post as well to remove the line containing Clyde's e-mail address from the long extract you quoted. Zensunni ( Ken ) Quote Link to comment
Lactodorum
I have to point out that GPX files downloaded from Groundspeak are covered by their Terms and Conditions (here). I'm sure that you, like me, often refer to these but just to remind you that redistribution of Groundspeak GPX data to others is forbidden. While I'm sure that this is a useful data file can you confirm you have Groundspeak's permission for sharing it. Also, I've edited out Clyde's e-mail address from the post above. What it appears to be is a set of GPX files generated with GSAK not a set of geocaches listed on the geocaching website. Quote Link to comment
+zensunni
Hi Lacto I can confirm that the data was not harvested from GC.com. The original data came from a basic text file listing and I used GSAK to generate a gpx file. Hope that satisfies your concerns Ken Quote Link to comment

+DomHeknows
theres also my location file for gsak which means you don't have your db cluttered with extra "caches". See http://forums.Groundspeak.com/GC/index.php...0entry1245109 Not sure whether it has the m6 tolls on it or not though. If not and you can provide the file in the same format then I'll update my page. Quote Link to comment
