July 1-4th Weekend

I'll be at a dive club picnic/party on the 4th with some people you know at Mukilteo. Wouldn't mind doing some caching this weekend however I'd have to take it pretty easy cuz of the sprained knee, no mountain climbing for me.

I have Friday off however she who must be feared and obeyed has plans for me on that day. Was thinking about doing some caching around Mukilteo on the 4th.

How's the foot?

That's got to be my Brother his wife...

It's gone from water to blood...still watching it, thanks for asking. :(

Hmmm, is a NAUI certification still good after 30 years?

If my PADI rating is still good, I'm sure yours is... :D

I still have a PADI cert from 1972 that in theory is still good. I like to pull it out now and again at a dive shop. They just blink at the picture that is 30+ years out of date.

For the record I did eventually get a higher certification,

Well at least the brother. We are going to be talking about a camp & dive trip to Porteau Cove Canada and since my knee is likely to keep me out of the water I'll probably be caching while the rest of them are diving. You up for some camping in July?

Looks like Saturday is the best day then, since I work on Sunday and possibly Monday as well (at least I get paid double time, I think)...

Anyone have any place they really want to go, cuz I'm pretty easy. LB, since you've done the most...what do you think?

Just as a suggestion, I'd recommend GeoRoo drive to caches...or the Marcus ones on Snoqualmie.

Well gee if I'm still invited any where is good with me.

Of course you're still invited and since you've done the fewest in this area I figured anywhere would be good... :D:D:)

And with your knee and my foot I figured the drive to / scenic hill top caches would be good.

I'll ask and see if I can go but not sure if I can afford the gas. I plan on burnig a tank on the 6th up at snoqualmie. I've been looking at Marcus' "A Drive in the Woods" series and would really like to get at least a couple, I haven't looked at GeoRoo's yet.

As long as you're going the Snoqualmie route on the sixth, you could always do some of the "Drive" series that day after the other adventures...

I know the PADI is, but you're best to check with your local dive shop to get the expert word about NAUI.

Have we decided where we are going yet? I'd like to know so I can load the waypoints.

thanks

edit to add: I'm willing to drive my CRV it might be a more comfortable fit for 3 and 'talks2animals' may be joining us.

Looks like we've got a nice little group coming together. Very cool.

I've started a bookmark list of some of the ones I thought we could try on the Highway 2 corridor and the surronding area. These are Drive-Bys and/or very little walking (half mile round trip) as far as I could tell. Some I've done, most I haven't but wanted to.

If anyone wants to park at my place, message me and I'll give you coords...otherwise I figure we can meet up at the Lewis Street park in Monroe (the parking lot right in front of mohai's Bridging the Sky cache).

Where we go from there is up to the group.

Next decision is...what time? I prefer earlier (8-9)...other thoughts?

LittleBlue just called and she'll be at my place at 8am (+/-) and if no one else is here, we're going to start at Moss and maybe also maybe do Tualco Grange before meeting all y'all...

Let's here it from everyone! Who/What/Where/When!

I will be at Bridging the Sky around 0800.

Thanks Allanon for suggesting a great day of caching. I ended up with 24 finds of course everything that we found today was a find for me as I have not been caching in the area before. Anytime I get to take the LR off road is a good day. Too bad we didn't have a little better weather for the views.

Not to jinx us but nobody got a flat tire today!!!

And for all you that missed out on our little trip a WJTB escaped my clutches and fell into a cache somewhere north of the Skykomish River today.
