street1
Has there been any studies done on gamma rays using gpss or health issues related to the rays. Link to comment
Stony2008
you might want to try the MSDS sheets under gamma rays. Link to comment
+Ocean Archer
Please excuse my stupidity - but are you referring to the natural gamma rays that bombard our Earth everyday, or are you suggesting that the GPSs somehow emit these rays? I just want to understand ..... Link to comment
+Renegade Knight
What's the source? You would need Atomic Batteries in your GPS to have radiation leakage from one. There could be some EMF from them but that's a side effect from almost all electronics including your toaster. Link to comment
+NightPilot
Gamma rays are not emitted by any electronic device, they only come from nuclear reactions. Link to comment
Stony2008
well whatever they said I don't quite understand but I think you should be able to find out whatever you need under the MSDS under gamma radiation. even if nothing you own does emit gamma rays it should tell you all you need to know about the safety issues. +The red-haired witch
Gamma rays are not a "material", therefore they don't really have a Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS), though radioactive products that emit gamma rays certainly have MSDS, especially since gamma rays are pretty dangerous. As others have said, GPS receivers have nothing to do with gamma rays. Link to comment
+New England n00b
Gamma rays = Bill Bixby. Bill Bixby = Incredible Hulk. Incredible Hulk = green. Green = Happy Shamrock Day. Happy Saint Patricks Day, me lucky charms is a-thinkin'. Link to comment
+Team Cotati
Has there been any studies done on gamma rays using gpss or health issues related to the rays. There have been many 'studies' related to the health effects of gamma radiation exposure. There have been ZERO 'studies' related to gamma radiation as it relates to the use of a gpss aka GPSr(?). The reason for this is that there IS no relationship between using a gpss aka GPSr and exposure to gamma radiation. Where DO these 'topics' come from? Please go here: http://www.epa.gov/radiation/understand/gamma.htm http://www.orau.gov/reacts/gamma.htm http://www.physics.isu.edu/radinf/gamma.htm and get educated on the subject. Your follow up report is eagerly awaited. P.S. What IS a gpss anyway? Some type of special top secret gamma radiation emitting device? Edited March 18, 2005 by Team cotati697 Link to comment
+New England n00b
GPSr - GPS receiver GPSs - GPS sender...? I still say it was a bit of fun at the expense of the day of greenitosity. Link to comment
