+VirginiaJim
Help? I picked this travel bug up out of Airplane Cache GCJ7RE. There are no numbers stamped on the bug, only a series of letters that do not work for the tracking number. Therefore, I can't log my pick-up. This is my first travel bug, what am I doing wrong? Thanks, Jim Quote Link to comment
Keystone
Ignore any tiny numbers on the bottom of the Jeep itself. There should be a metal dogtag attached to the jeep. On the tag there is a six-character secret logging code. It begins with the letters "JP." That's what you need to enter in order to log a find on the Jeep. Quote Link to comment
+VirginiaJim
I tired entering the code on the tag that begins with JP. It returns no match. I am logged in and cookies are enabled. ??? Thanks Jim Quote Link to comment
+Team CAPND
Looks like you have tried everything and have even referenced the Travel bug the right way, without giving away the secret code, using the Public "TB####" number, for that I have to congratulate you on your first TB find and handling disclosure properly! Sounds like you've tried everything... Entering the WHOLE code plus "JP" prefix No switching of char's : "O" (letter Oh's) for "Ø" (number Zero) Trying it a few times : sometimes the site spits it back at you You could trying contacting contact@Groundspeak.com with appropriate subject and detailes to get it routed correctly? Good luck! I know it doesn't help much but you deserve a pat on the back. Quote Link to comment

+Ramness
So what is up with the Jeeps now? Is the contest over now? When you go to the website for them http://jeep.geocaching.com you get redirected to the main page. I also see a lot of people are finding them and then logging them into the bug graveyard within a few days of getting them. Are they just souvenirs now? If so I’m gonna go try to grab one! WH
Are they just souvenirs now? If so I’m gonna go try to grab one! They are still travel bugs. Please keep them moving along. Quote Link to comment

+EScout
I have been wondering about the YJTBs. It seems like people are keeping them. To me the attraction should be logging one and having it show up on your stats. There seem to be very few in circulation. Are people keeping them and giving them to friends to log? +fly46
Jeremy requested that we keep the YJTBs moving. Remember, Jeep paid quite a bit of money for the promotion, so it's only fair to them to keep the bugs moving. Quote Link to comment
