+Thot
Do you throw old, used up logbooks away? Frame them? Donate them to the local museum of natural history? Keep them in a mayonnaise jar on Funk and Wagnall’s back porch? What? Quote Link to comment
+Divine
Keep them in my drawer, at least for now. Definitely not gonna throw them away. Quote Link to comment
+briansnat
They were scattered throughout my house until about a week ago, when I gathered them together and put them in a Ziploc bag. I have no idea what to do with them after that though. Maybe page through them when I'm old and sitting in my rocker. Quote Link to comment
+The Commissar!
After I verify the finds and read them...it seems that most online logs contain more information than the paper ones so I chunk them after they ride around with me for a month or so... Quote Link to comment
+Prairie Dog
I'm thinking about photographing the log pages and posting them online. Right now the log book is in my backpack. Quote Link to comment
+Jamie Z
I'm with the Dog on this one. Put 'em online. They're often kind of neat to read (if they're legible) and in the cache they are liable to be lost, stolen, or destroyed by elements. I scan the pages and post on the cache page: And I even did that for a cache which wasn't mine, but for which I did some much needed maintenance: Same with cache cameras. I wish folks would make the cache camera pictures available online. Of the 30 or so self-portraits I've taken at caches, I've only seen two or three of them. Jamie Quote Link to comment
Phoenix2001
Find a place where you can kick back and relax and read. Put a cache nearby called "The Old Log Book Cache". Stock it with the old logs and, of course, make sure it's clear which log belongs to the cache. Quote Link to comment
+zoltig
Hey, I've got an idea. Let's mail them to Jeremy. Save them for one year then all at once, everybody puts them in the mail. Quote Link to comment
Mr. TSP
I always thought it would be kinda neat to have a Geocaching "museum" where old logbooks, famous caches, travel bugs, etc. could go after they were retired. I have no idea where this would be located or who would take care of this. But it would be nice to have some sort of repository for these items so they would not end up in the trash at some point. Just a thought I had one day at work when I was supposed to be working. Quote Link to comment
+Enspyer
I was kind of confused when I used up my first logbook ("now what?!?!"). I just brought a new one and left the old one in the cache for 'archival' purposes. When the weather is decent and I have the time, I like to read old logs in caches. I didn't see any reason I needed to keep the logbook for myself. I had one logbook that got ruined by a leaky container, and that is just buried on the messy shelf with the rest of my geocaching stuff. Quote Link to comment
adampierson
Although I haven't experienced a filled log book, I imagine I would probably save the book. On occassion I've had to opportunity to review the logs to caches I've done and people don't neccessarily write the same info on the online log. I probably would scan a few of the choice logs and post them as part of the cache pics. Quote Link to comment
+Jeep_Dog
Some folks recycle them, making it somewhat difficult to determine FTF. Quote Link to comment

Looks like a lot of work, but I like it. Jamie has the right method -- scan 'um. Edited February 9, 2005 by Thot Quote Link to comment
