+Alan2
I thought this would be a good place to help newcomers, and oldtimers as well. Which map links do you use and why? Edited February 8, 2005 by Alan2 Quote Link to comment
gridlox
I use the Mapquest maps, for no other reason than I'm more familiar with them since I've been using them for years to map out our travel route on vacations. D-man Quote Link to comment
+CompuCash
yahoo and Rand McNally are great - the new google maps move very smoothly - I like the thick more representative look of the roads rather than a thin line. Quote Link to comment
+BigHank
I also use the Mapquest maps more than the others, but only due to familiarity. I also use the GC maps if there is a concentration of caches in a certain area so I can get a "visual" on the route I would take from one to the next. Quote Link to comment
+IV_Warrior
None. Between the maps on my laptop and the maps on my GPS, I don't often check any of the cache page map links. Quote Link to comment
+rusty_tlc
None. Between the maps on my laptop and the maps on my GPS, I don't often check any of the cache page map links. The exception being the geocaching.com maps that show nearby caches. These show up on my pc mapping software but the on-line maps are a quick and easy way to plan a caching trip.
