+YuccaPatrol
I have upgraded from City Select 5 to City Select 6. Since my laptop does not have tons of room left on the hard drive, is it possible to remove the older version of the maps. There is a folder in the Garmin folder called "NACSV5" that appears to contain all the map info. There are also some files with similar names in the Garmin folder: NACSv5.img , nacsv5.tdb , etc that also appear to be related to version 5. Can I just delete those files and folders or is there something else I must do to eliminate the old maps? I should be able to recover over 1 gig if I can do this. . . . Neo_Geo
Did you use an UPGRADE version to upgrade, or did you install a stand-alone version of 6? If it was an UPGRADE, then you must leave the files there. If it was the stand-alone version, then you can uninstall 5 Quote Link to comment
+Rubberhead
You can erase all the .img files under the NACSV5 subdirectory. Leave the NACSv5.img , nacsv5.tdb files that are under the Mapsource directory. If you do this and select City Navigator 5.0 from the product pulldown menu it will show blank maps. +WxGuesser
I don't have either of those programs.. but shouldn't it just give you an option to add it.. then you'll have both.. Quote Link to comment

+RocketMan
It might be too late if you have already deleted a bunch of files, but all you have to do is go to add/remove programs after you install the v6 upgrade and remove v5. I have done this on two computers and v6 still works just fine after v5 is uninstalled. RM Quote Link to comment
