+TEAM 360
Okay. Crazy idea. The world-famous Ringling Brothers Circus is in my town right now, some friends of mine are performers with the group, and I have been aboard their Ringling Circus Train many times. This is the world's longest privately-owned train, over a mile long, and by itself is a sight to see for anyone who likes trains. Can I list it as a virtual cache, if I include the tour schedule of the cities it is visiting? That way, you know if it is available to "find" in your area, and each finder could include updated coords in the log descriptions, so cachers will know where it is at. Of course, you can't just walk onboard, but to see it and get a photo of it is very impressive. Suggestions? Quote Link to comment
+BrownMule & Jackrabbit
I don't think it will be approved simply because even the old roving physical caches are no longer allowed. There ain't but one way to find out though and that's submitt it. Good luck. _________________________________________________________ On the other hand, you have different fingers. +SearchRescueDog
Cache Listing Requirements/Guidelines quote:Caches will be quickly archived if we see the following (which is not inclusive):.... Caches hidden by active railroad tracks .... I know when they are in town in Baltimore the railyard that they are in is pretty active Quote Link to comment
+briansnat
There is also this one: quote:Objects in motion (such as people, vehicles) do not count as a virtual cache, unless that item can be adequately tracked and updated on the web site (For example, a link to a tracker for a vehicle would be ok). If I post the cache today, someone else should be able to find it tomorrow and the next day. "Give a man a fish, he'll eat for a day. +Stunod
Be careful near those circus trains, or we may need another one of these caches. "Just because I don't care doesn't mean I don't understand." Quote Link to comment
+Renegade Knight
If you could figure out the updated location angle I think you could get it approved. Clearly this cache has permision to be on or near the tracks. Quote Link to comment
