+Robespierre Posted December 12, 2004 Share Posted December 12, 2004 You might find 'em a little cheaper, but in general: the yellow etrex is $100 the legend is $200 the Vista is $300 (recently some went for $180 - special promo) then it depends on what is included a bit, too. If you have to spend gas driving around, or wait 3 weeks for delivery, etc., the $20 you might save isn't worth it. Quote Link to comment

I saw the Legend without those at Amazon the other day for $136. The case goes for $15 and I'm not sure what the charger goes for but I'm guessing around $30. That brings it pretty close to $180. The charger adapter plugs into your cigarette lighter and provides power for the GPS through the standard eTrex connector. Walmart.com says they're out of stock on all models of the standard Legend, and they may not restock. Quote Link to comment

Sometimes you luck out and get a good deal, but these days with intense competition for things as "simple" as bananas, it's not that far off. And with the internet it's even worse. Heck, even DRY CLEANING is crazily competitive. Saw a sign the other day: ALL GARMENTS $.99!Some may be higher. Quote Link to comment
