+harrogate hunters
There does not seem to be a forum for this county, so I will try you lot first. I am in Venice for less than 24 hours next Thursday, and I do not know the town. I have come up with a couple of caches, I 'could' grab whilst I fly in and out, but this is where you come in... 'I am staying in St Marks square (hotel not a park bench), so does anyone know if I can walk (10-15 minutes) to any of the caches listed ! Who knows the area ? Quote Link to comment
+MarkGPX
Death in Venice starts in St Marks but as it's a 7 part multi it would probably take up a large chunk of your 24 hours! The Snail should only be a few minutes walk from St Marks but I imagine reception would be quite a problem. Vogalonga Venezia says it's about 25 minutes from St Marks. hth MarkGPX Quote Link to comment

+kewfriend
Murano - island of glass - We were in Venice this time last year and if we'd had the GPS with us we'd have done this one. Lovely place. Lots of Vaporettos out to Murano: its a nice trip - and you might buy some glass ( though it aint cheap ) Quote Link to comment
+dysdera
I went to venice for a day last year and the GPS reception is terrible. I wasnt geocaching, just exploring with my son but we had the GPS switched on (emap) and the track log at the end of the day was very intermittent Quote Link to comment
